Furry Friendly Starbound Server (Modpack Updated 4/7/2015, Races, Music, Improvements and more!)

Server with custom races support - quite a nice idea. All servers will balanced modding are great for me.
Community is pretty good, staff is active, nice city at spawn, mods helpfull at building - ok. But unfortunately the server have a ton of problems, a lot of interuptions in a form of disconnects and query for password makes the server unplayable. Too bad... tooo bad.

 

I guess the password thing comes from somewhere else(like yesterday). not sure how to explain really. The server been crashing almost every 3 mins before getting on password so i guess some stuff needs to be fixed. Patience(best spelling nue.)

 

About the password: This server hasn't set any password : Ready carefully what it say's when you can't join. It's parent server fault ( which is central of servers of Chucklefish I think) after they fix it, we'll be able to play ^^

 

Yeah it's a parent server issue. Same with the crashes, that's Chucklefish's broken server. Hopefully a hotfix comes soon, but in the meantime all I can do is keep an eye open.

Password problem has been repaired again. I do apologize for the stability issues but there's nothing that can be done short of waiting for the patch.

 

FINALLY got my server to crash. not sure what caused it as my console bug catcher crashed as well and it only took 1h 12m ish ill keep trying and run some bug catchers of other sorts hopefully some extra info can become part of the fix(es) if it isnt already being readied for release.

EDIT: afaik it happened shortly after i used the staves from the staff mod - cant confirm it is an issue because the game didnt actually crash til after i logged off one char and logged in another. hmmm.

RE EDIT: and im sure its not the only cause primarily because the crashes happened before the mods were even serverside (afaik) sooo yeah.

 

From what I can gather from parsing the logs is a socket error, causing a mass disconnect before the fatal error and subsequent shutdown.

 

i have encountered 1 issue that is pretty much a guaranteed Client crash. using the advanced bandages from the modpack. no big deal really. the nano's are almost as good. /shrug

and a side note if you are using FCSMod *Fully Customizable Ships* from Nexus i figured out how to get them working for custom races

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! WARNING THIS WILL WIPE OUT ANY CONTENTS YOUR SHIP HAS!!! Move the items out of the ship to your own game world somewhere and dont forget to pull any reserve fuel from your fuel hatch! *Dont worry your tech and printer
recipes will be safe* HOWEVER you will have to relearn the tech unlocks such as Sectors and Other recipes IF you are doing this to a character you already made! IF you need replacements SoRaboHoovze can help!
Currently This may break the ability for same race friends from joining your ship or theirs if only one of you has this done! this is not an encouragement to use this mod on a custom race. and can be unstable on a server with custom races. it is not recommended if your friends dont want to do this mod as well.

Notes:
when breaking your Captains Chair be sure to catch it! in your inventory it should look like a plain wooden chair with a red seat
when breaking the Fuel Hatch dont lose it! in your inventory it will look like a small gray panel with a dark round hatch wheel
when breaking the Tech Station take care to catch it too it will look fairly identical to itself but a big + symbol on the display part
Be sure that on the server you have typed "/shipaccess private" to prevent unfamiliar people you have invited to join you in your adventures from getting on your ship. if you have friends you are sure you trust type "/shipaccess allow PLAYERNAME" (i think capitals count and im not sure if spaces are working) if someone you trusted to be allowed on your ship is no longer trusted type "/shipaccess deny PLAYERNAME" **if the commands arent working or i have mistyped them you can get more info by typing "/help" for all help and "/shipaccess help" for specific help with that command. All stated commands are surrounded by quotes - those should not be included when typing them

First MAKE BACKUPS of your "Player" folder - if you can afford the space make backups of the entire Starbound folder

1 - find the file in "Starbound / mods / FCSMod / [Put File Name Here].shipworld" and right click and copy it.

2 - go to "Starbound / player" folder and BE SURE what character you do this to the names wont be names it will be a jumble of letters and numbers delete the one that matches and has .shipworld (BEST way to be sure you have the correct character you want to do this to is load it in your game world wait a few seconds and quit and save and look for the most recent one saved)
EX: abc123.shipworld matches character abc123.player and abc123.metadata

3 - paste the file there and rename it to match like the example.

4 - load the game and POOF customizeable ship BUT BE WARNED you can fall and die. take caution when building. BIGGER WARNING DO NOT LET ANYONE on your ship you dont trust! in most cases for Multiplayer the ship can not be edited but the contents such as crates and everything else INCLUDING your pilot seat may be breakable.

 

Im glad to hear its not corrupted files on my account...

 

I'll delete the new bandages then. It'll require an update from people, but if it's removed from the server perhaps it'll stop the crashing on that sense.

 

Now if only Starbooze was an option in the modpack.

Sorry for the crashes. i demodded my ponex ship files but i dont think its helping. even unmodded races seem to be conflicting with certain players. hmmmm.

 

The server seems to be complaining of a different version?

"Unknown Server Version"

 

Yepp same here. I can't connect anymore.

 

Guys I think the owner already knows all the bugs and problems the server has let him do his thing and use the time for something else .Loading music into the game mining some extra ore in singleplayer or search some things you maybe need .

 

It may be possible he doesn't know, since he has even given a way to contact him about it.
We aren't harassing him, there has been two posts. One for the issue, the other for confirmation.

Sorry, but it just irks me when people seem to go on some unnecessary crusade when literally nothing has happened.

so ... For some reason i cant enter the server and all it is showing is " Join failed ! Unknown server version''. Am i mising something?
