Furry Friendly Starbound Server (Modpack Updated 4/7/2015, Races, Music, Improvements and more!)

Might wanna add a huge red sign on the first post that says the mod is mandatory to use the server at all, lest a bunch of people be all "wtf why i crash-desu". (They'll happen anyway, but hopefully that will curb it?)
Regarding the title, the server is slightly less so "mod enabled" and slightly more "mods required". If a player without some mod tries to load a structure or item that isn't purely cosmetic (for example everything from drills+) they're going to crash.
*already there's been more instances of why am i crush-uu than i can count on my two paws.

Server seems to go down conspicuously and frequently. Is the source code for our wrapper available for inspection?

i love this server and all. I've been here for over a month now and i love building and just hanging with everyone. I got one question, are you at least addressing the 10-30 min server crashes and shut downs. Its hard to really do stuff on here.

 

yeah after i viewed it on youtube (oddly enough it was a corrupted file on my machine but i guess youtube is too powerful to care lol) and it seems to only have recorded after the actual incident. anywhos on Reelayas planet there was a bench we passed. in the world its actually still there thanks to the server restarting moments later lol /shrug

 

Has that been causing crashes? If so it might be better to simply remove those drills..

I've been told that other servers are experiencing this as well, and it's a problem with the parent server (which the logs confirm). The parent server is the default Starbound server.

 

idk if this is useful but several mentions of old clients trying to log on causing crashes. lack of mods clientside causing server to derp. ive tested the mods on my local private server and no crashes for over an hour. even with my console getting flooded with load errors from the staff mod. i was also told some spears can cause crashes for whatever reasons. but that info might be outdated.

Edit - imo i think at least 50% or more of the crashing is unknowing client users and or griefers taking advantage of buggy or crashy clientside mods.

Im getting some error unknown server version errors so I cant join.

It's alright. It's also getting slightly griefed.. but worry not! I didn't build that close to the spawn expecting safety and permanence. lol (Oh and as far as backsups, I've been taking screenshots )
I just did it to make friends and have fun. As long as the buildings are there, I can put the decorations back up until I decide I'm annoyed with it. lol
Then I'm sure someone else can come along and put decor back up, and maybe it'll be a little different each time.

I think pretty soon here I'll make my own planet again in a more secluded place and invite people one by one.

I would like to know when the dangers of griefers are snuffed out honestly.
The colonization on the moon that I've been organizing will close it's ports until this is done, and I really hate not telling people the coords because I like to brag. Kekeke.

Shame. Guess the colonizers who already know their way will land.
I may attempt at some selection process.

Might be a little hard to grief anyways since most everything, including the coating on the planet, is iron and steel.

Hey hi hello! I've joined this server yesterday with my friend, we've been looking for small server to goof around since our old one hasn't been updated to Furious Koala version (admin gave up and decided to wait until SB won't be beta anymore). By far, besides yesterday crashes and server being a li'l brat (not mentioning my computer wasn't cooperating with me either), it's quite nice in there! o/
