Furry Friendly Starbound Server (Modpack Updated 4/7/2015, Races, Music, Improvements and more!)

To whatever the server's in, very limited with scripts that apparently were meant to be used on a phone and not a PC. However they do nothing.

The scripts (or lack of their versatility) helped kill it.

 

Bah. Then yeah, remoting in and giving the server a manual kick in the pants isn't an option.

Well, at least we learned that the current plan no work-y.

 

But it apparently does something, like killing it.

I have no clue why or how, but I'm on it, as well as a bunch of others.

DAMN. And I started messing around in FL again.

 

God it's good to be back
IT appears that during character creation, i don't have any clothes for any races, even vanilla ones. Is there any known mod conflict that would prevent the "shirt", "pants", "clothes", "outfits", ETC buttons from working?
The only mods i have are the ones in the mod pack.

 

The auto-reset is just like us manually resetting it...

Sorry for the freak out, everyone: first day on the job and things kinda happen that's not really supposed to happen.

Anyway, XxSilentShadow2 and myself are going to be working on a second spawnworld-like hub-spot in the Beta sector, at least until Alpha wiping the spawnworld gets fixed. Currently only maybe 1/8th of the way done, it's open and available for anyone to peek at, simply type '/poi Ship' to visit.

Also, it's in an asteroid field. Do not worry, heat and oxygen will be provided, free of charge.

I'm also going to try and provide random musical stuff with 3 people under my control every night at around 6 pm EST for about half an hour on spawn world, just for the hell of it.

 

I'm curious if anyone would be interested in building multiple sort of hub worlds for different races.

Like, anyone would be welcome, but for instance I was thinking of starting an Ewok sorta tree house village with Familiar and Vulpes NPCs.

 

Pretty good idea but eventually everyone would just hang out at one of them, so no point in making other ones.We could maybe have 2? The one Cobalt & I are making and you could start building in Beta now, and when it's finished either Cobalt or I will check it then put protection on it? Just a suggestion.

I really, really loath protection. It's generally as much grief as the actual griefers. Kinda damned if you do, damned if you don't I guess. But to me it feels like: No protection, you get griefed on a day. Protection, you get griefed every day. Especially considering how buggy and problematic it can be. I've already found one way it can straight up lock your game up.

And yeah, a second "hub" world would make sense. You're building in an asteroid field, which kinda... Makes no sense for anything other than space stations, space ships and other assorted high tech places.

I'd also suggest Variety is the Spice of the Universe, but that would require a universe reset likely. Which people may be opposed to. :/

I frigging love some of these biomes, especially the tropics.

EDIT: Wait, dammit, apparently ZMisc is confirmed to have compatibility issues with it.

Welp, so much for that. Starbound really makes me frown sometimes.

Nuh, We admins can put protection on it and also give players access to editing that planet.With the griefers I'm sure we'll be fine, Cobalt and I are on nearly ever single day (Me not able to play occasionally) and Aki's got a chance of becoming a admin too. ((I hope he gets it )) He's also on a lot.Point is, we can just stop the griefers within a few seconds.So yea

Server will be offline for an undetermined amount of time while I update the wrapper and try and trace why it's taking 15 minutes to start up. That shouldn't be happening.

1: I thought the server already used drumsticks?
2: That mod's still heavily in Beta WIP, I'd wait until it gets a bit more better, which it will.
4: Nyeeeeh, no offense to the creator, but that looks more like a thing to shoot my splodey shotgun at...
5: I agree on that, with how many races are coming into the server
6: Also agree, because songs. It can also be acquired separately, as in others can experience it as well.

I kinda picked the space and high-tech things because that's kind of what Starbound is: Space and high-tech things. Captures the essence of the game itself with as much accuracy as possible.
