Outdated Fully Customizable Ship 2.0 Upbeat Giraffe Beta

It seems like those ship parts should be part of the game files since they are on the starting ship. I guess Madtulip chopped up the ship to make those parts. Is that correct? I hope further expansions offer that aspect of Madtulip's mod.

 

Yeah, he's chopping them up. And looking in Starbound's assets pack shows that each ship is one single graphic.

 

So, I believe I've made something kinda interesting, to say the least.



Some sort of Hylotl corvette, or something.

To spawn some of the 'unobtainable' furniture, I simply used the Spawnable Item Pack (it's under cheat and god items in the modding section)

All of the furniture that's here that you've never seen before, it's vanilla. There's just no way to get it yet, as it's supposed to only spawn in Hylotl cities (which haven't yet been added).

 

Is there a way to reinstate the shipship.png graphic as the background to your ship--and potentially just build on top of it? Might not look awesome, but I'd really like to try. Has anyone had success with this? I've tried replacing it by directly editing the shipworld file, with no success.

 

I downloaded and installed this mod (my first for starbound) after following the instructions for installation I am still not seeing the mod or the new ship. What I did is the following: unpacked the mod and placed it in the starbound mods folder and started the game. I did rename the file to that of the ship file. End result is I still have my old stock ship. What am I doing wrong?

 

Hah, lol, i had showed my ship made with this mod to my friends, and they asked how is my house on space. Good mod, it's nice while is impossible upgrade the ship.

 

I had this happen too. You'll need to delete not only the original shipworld file, but also the 3 backup shipworld files that Starbound keeps.

 

i did all of this and still no luck. either a new default ship shows up, or my ship shows up. but no new mod ship. help. ): i don't know why but i am always so retarded when it comes to placing unzipped files into the correct directories for games. ):

 

Try going into you player folder and doing a search for the word ship. I found three files i didnt know were there.

 

Just a little update on the mod. I'm done with classes so I'll be working on it again. I'm planning on breaking apart the mod so people can download specific aspects of it as well as looking into making a way for people to download ships made by other users.

Is it possible to change the area that's build able? Because I've build a ship so long that it actually went around.

Princeofmar5 if you dont mind id like to do a tutorial video on your mod. Some people don't really understand how to put this into existing characters. On the other hand i really love this mod i feel like i have a badassship

My ship gets randomly reset if I close Starbound. Like, I've built a ship completely, and when I save and quit, close the game, and reopen it, it has been reset back to the original wooden ship. Any help?

Ok, so this is how I understand how multiplayer works. Other people dont need the mod to see your modded ship, BUT you need a new character for it to work. What if i try to use my old character after the mods installed. What will happen? Will my ship disappear? Will it do nothing? Will it work perfectly?

 

Nope, it doesn't work in multiplayer. I even deleted all my saves and reinstalled, won't work at all.
