    You're awesome Prince. This mod really should be Chucklefish's next implementation into the game. Surprised it's taking them so long.

    Anyhow, this is what I've accomplished so far. Pretty proud of myself because I don't use inventory editors making those wall panels/reinforced steel a bitch to get. So far I've finished the hull, the Crew's Quarters, the Laboratory, the Greenhouse, and I'm in the process of making the top of the ship a variety of unique biome-inspired rooms. First time posting a pic on these forums so here goes:

    I think part of it is that this mod's style conflicts with what they have/had planned, and thus until they finalize what they want to do with ships they don't want to give us something they may end up having to take away.

    In the end, I kind of hope for a sort of hybrid system, where you can only modify a ship in a shipyard (maybe at those outposts), where you would be able to place large background ship-chunks that use images as graphics, and are then able to build the rest of the ship out of normal blocks. When a ship isn't at a shipyard, it would either only allow certain types of blocks to be broken, or it would remember which blocks left the shipyard, and only allow removal of those placed after you left (until you went back into a shipyard, at which point you could then mess with any block you want again).

    I like the idea of having a sort of customize-only area such as a shipyard but I don't understand everyone's problem with all of the items remaining destructible. Unless you guys are referring to having irresponsible friends on board your ship, I think the current set up in this mod works great. I have been working on my ship and playing the game at the same time and only once have I ever destroyed something I didn't mean to and that was because I was figuring out what I could and couldn't do with the mod. A much higher priority would be making player spawned NPC's immune to damage, at least on their own ships. People are much more likely to fire/swing a weapon on accident then they are to pull out a drill and proceed to tear a ship apart.

    The design would be a lot more ship-like without the giant greenhouse, but its oh-so-functional!

    Oddly enough, if I start with a new character in multiplayer, I CAN'T customize my ship! It just doesn't work!

    Hey, I've got a bit of an issue, currently moving my teleport pad around doesn't change the spawn point on the ship
    It's annoying because I've built and furnished this elaborate ship behind the junky wooden one.

    The spawn point is always on the exact location of the original teleporter, you'll have to make the new ship's teleporter right where the old one was in order for you to beam back up to the teleporter.

    Well that's not going to happen with this ship, too detailed to rebuild just because of the spawn point, know of any way I can move the blocks over so it'll work?

    Well, there's a few things you can try, like moving the spawn room to the original teleporter (If you can remember where that is), or use the base in a box mod to clone your ship to the exact location so that your spawn area is where the original teleporter was, but you might have to back up the shipworld file in the config a before trying, I personally think the 1st way is easier, as long as you can remember where the original teleporter is.
