Sooo, tired of this issue. It seems to happen at absolutely arbitrary times. Sometimes my game is in full screen, most times not.

All I want, is a clear, non-asshole answer. I guarantee you that I am far more fed up with dealing with it, that you are of hearing it. So, now that we are on the same page, how is this problem solved?

Windows 10 if that changes anything (and I doubt it does)

Make game windowed. Double click the top bar to maximize the window to the screen. Bam, you get full screen and no issues.

That did not work, but thank you.

What "doesnt work" about it? If it works at any lower window resolution, than maximized window would be exactly the same.

In the sense that it doesn't do what you claim it to do. Like fullscreen. It doesn't do that when I "double click the top bar". And what I asked for was "fullscreen" not "maximized window". Thank you for your attempt.

Not aimed at anyone this is, but I'm just a little bummed out that Starbound can't fullscreen anymore. And if through a christmas miracle I get it into full screen then I'm fucked if I ever have to alt-tab cause full screen starts foaming at the mouth again every time you do. As Ty wanted this game to be an immersive experience and not just a game, the experience is what I am missing here. My task bar is driving me up a wall and that glaring white slice at the top of my screen that says Starbound Beta on it is not an experience. Heck, it's not even as engrossing as it was six months ago when full screen worked. This is a simple thing and I'm just done wasting my time with this "great game" that can't manage a simple thing like tying it's shoes before walking out the door (anymore). I'll be back on Terraria. If this ever gets actually, really, officially fixed let me know. Until then, enjoy my money.

starbound can indeed fullscreen. I've done it many times, usually when posts like this pop up because I'm not seeing the issues people are having with it.

Any you've still not said what "doesn't work" about it.

I can fullscreen to 1920 x 1080 native. But it lags like all hell, works fine in windowed though.

Now that might just be my computer, but if it isn't, you might be fighting for something not worth having.

I'm not fighting because there is no dispute. I do appreciate you sharing your experience, it helps figure things out. I have tried playing the game on 1280x720 for the majority of my time since that seems to work best when it does work. However, on a custom built computer with a geforce GTX 960, a screaming mother board and RAM to spare... I still can't get through the Erchius Mining Facility due to the game-stopping lag. So, even settling on a lower resolution yields no release from some serious performance issues from this game. True, I'm no digital savant, but this is a game. It's supposed to be a source of enjoyment, not a trial and error experience that frustrates even the calm at heart. I've spent a good deal of time asking my computer savvy friends what I should be doing and can't get a solution to get the game to run well. Is this my ineptitude, the game's lack of streamlining, my computer, or a combination?
