Bug/Issue FU teleporter not working?

i've looked through a couple threads and found people having the same issue, but having it be a mod problem
all i have in my mods is FU and a couple of avian body customization things (tail feathers, legs, etc,) and i've gone through the sail dialogue and it's telling me to beam down to the planet, but the teleporter wont bring up the menu when i press e on it
at first i thought it was a mod i used to have installed which was the A.V.I.A.N mod, but i uninstalled it and the teleporter is still not working
any advice?
