Frozen in sword animation

I was in the mines (level 17 if that's important) and I was swinging my sword all over the place then my character froze and I thought "oh I'll just die or go to sleep and it'll be fine" but I don't know why, time froze at 2 AM and I think that might be because I'm in co-op. Then, when my health bar was all the way down I realized it still said 31/270. So I'm stuck at 2 AM with a frozen health bar with 2 earth crystals I found which sucks if I loose that.
