It was a Joke. You said Po monsters don't belong in a game like Starbound. but star bound represents a Space game with other quirky stuff. So why Wouldn't there be a Po golem? That is actually a Portuguese man O' War it is an actual animal.

They started with ammo in the game actually, the problem they ran into was what you propose, that being a single universal bullet, wasn't really liked as an idea by the general populace, as it felt kind of cheap. The only thing having a single ammo type does (in my opinion) is add a single slot in your inventory devoted to holding 9999 of that ammo, GG we're done here. All of your guns fire from it,t hen it gives you a false idea of ammo conservation, instead of energy conservation. Forgive me but, if you're going to make all guns fire the same ammo, why bother adding ammo in at all?

That doesn't change how much I hate it in the slightest. Starbound is supposed to be an amazing game, and yet here it is, with its horrendously low resolution sprites and textures. I may be overstating it a bit, but they could look a lot better. It's so bad that it's hard to properly distinguish between things. Male and female versions of characters have, in the worst case, two or three pixels changed. There is no difference in their appearance. It annoys me.

Ironic, when you look at your profile picture. Fallout is known for it's dry and sometimes tasteless humor.

Edit: Feel like an idiot. I'd always thought that toilet humor was a type of bad humor that poked fun at culturally incorrect things (911 jokes for instance) I hadn't actually thought that it was literally about toilets and the business done in them. Sorry to have criticized.

I don't like the story. I'm supposed to believe I escaped Earth? Laughable. How can I escape Earth when I am far to absorbed in this forum? I would be the first to die. Details people, details.

Well, its been said a lot before already, but the po. I'm fine with low class humor, I'm fine with dumb humor and tend to make terrible puns myself sometimes. Hell, I even laughed a mix between a sarcastic laugh and a genuine laugh when I saw one of the new enemies in the Terraria halloween update is called Mourning Wood. But stuff like toilet humor is just reaching for lowest common denominator.

Oh, and as its been brought up before but from what I've seen, some extra foliage and etc would be nice.

Some do look weird, but that's the unfortunate headache caused by random generation.

I'd say I don't like the colors of the painting tool/generated monsters, and also the bit of inconsistency that seems to haunt the overall tone of the game from what we have seen so far. At first I thought it was a complaint from the kind of fans nitpicking because the game is taking longer than they expected to come out and they are stuck rewatching all of the things released so far and eventually starting to find little insignificant things to complain about in them, but I gotta admit in this case they might be accidentally right. And no, it's not about the Po's, in general the game has serious and funny things weirdly mixed, but that's just an impression and I'll have to see the full game to judge.

I mean, such a thing has worked with other games anyway.

No, it's not completely wrong. My concern is that Terraria has half-bricks and Starbound doesn't and that Terraria has lots of random vegetation (weeds and flowers and grass that look natural). Starbound does not have half-bricks (period). And while they've got the gold on the trees, as it is now Terraria also has the best "random vegetation". These two things in Terraria's last major update (which as the first person to respond to you said is still being updated), add so much aesthetically to the game it's beyond good.

In the future, please refrain from telling people their opinion is "Completely wrong". It's just not becoming. Other games are going to be better at certain aspects than Starbound--it doesn't matter how good of a game Starbound will be; it simply can't be the best at everything it has to offer.

You're reading way too much into it and couldn't be more wrong. I was listing my concerns--of which there are only two that I can think of. This is a thread about the things "we dislike". I shouldn't have to defend myself in a thread about things where we post what we dislike by additionally posting the inordinate amount of things Starbound appears to be already doing properly.

Spears can't be used in a 360 degree axis like Terraria (not saying it should). They seem like a bad version of other melee weapons only thrusting forwards with no overhead swing protection.

I had some issues with timing (a note that starts during an already held note, etc) and getting my score to look like my sheet music, so I wrote my ABC like this.

    Code:
    Intro stuff (X:/T:/M:/L:/Q:/K:)
    [V:1] first line
[V:2] plays at the same time as the first line
    [V:1] second line
[V:2] plays at the same time as the second line

That would be really difficult to answer without playing the game, because a lot of it is contextual. It either works or it doesn't within context.

I might not like the idea of a certain playable race, which will remain nameless, but I might try it someday and really enjoy the mechanics and style in practice.

I'm going to kill myself. Thanks.

Even looks like the timing is gonna get all sorts of fucked up as well, and I'm not sure how well tempo changes will work mid-song.

I just like being able to put all my things in nice little chunks. Mabinogi does it really well.

I'll get an example in a second, probably via Midna's Lament since it's the easiest thing ever to make, but it's going to be awkward.

I GUESS another option I could do would be to turn my MMLs into MIDIs, then convert THOSE into ABCs, but that might cause some serious issues as well. Hmm...

I'm not too concerned about the Po monsters, since I don't see a deliberate attempt at humor in them. Just a monster that's somewhat fitting for a sewer dungeon.

However, I strongly dislike the brain and eyeball forests. They just look like a try-hard attempt to be strange and alien, and their backgrounds are an eyesore. I strongly hope there's a config file somewhere in the game's code that lets me get rid of them somehow, since the fuel system and quests will likely make them difficult to avoid.

Also, singing sound hideous a large majority of the time.
