Frog merchant won't despawn

So I was messing with the /spawnitem commands to see if I could find anything cool when I found the frog merchant guy. Curious, I placed him on my ship. After awhile, I got bored nd tried to kill him. This didn't work, so I tried to mine him with my MM. This didn't work either. Now I'm stuck with this stupid frog dude on my ship being annoying. Anybody know how to get rid of him?

 

Find an avian temple with sawblades or an avian airship with propellers. See if those can kill him when placed nearby. If not you might well be stuck with him.

 

that frog merchant is an item not npc... Well not in moving sense. Like the outpost shops. At least as far as the game is concerned.

I don't think there is a way to remove it... Then again it could be like the bunny statue in the koala update, where it would just take a very long time to mine it. Don't know much on that particular item. At least not how to remove it.

It didn't. I probably did something wrong when installing it, though. Oh well. I guess I'll just build a prison around it so it looks cool.

 

That mod didn't work, because it's outdated. In order to remove the Frog Merchant, you'll have to pick up modding for a bit to remove the "unbreakable" modifier in frogmerchant.object or whatever.

 

This is Starbound discouraging casual hookups. Next time, be more careful about who you take home, and make sure you know them well before committing to the relationship.

Otherwise, you could always reset your ship file. Take everything except froggo and store them on a planet. Cut+Paste ship file to somewhere else, and restart character. You should have a brand new ship.

 

I don't want to lose my ship! I guess I can just test out a bunch of cool weapons on him and stuff. Or make him my slave.

 

I could work up a quick mod for you to remove that frog with your Matter Manipulator when I get home, but that would be a few hours from now. Why not make a thread in Modding Help?

I miss finding frog merchants... didn't know they couldn't be killed/removed though. tempted to spawn one on my ship... then again... unremoveable... then again... cool frog who sells me things... unremoveable... cool frog.... that is... unremoveable, ugh...

It would be cool... if I hadn't spawned him in the middle of my bedroom.

 

Apparently, someone is experiencing a crashing bug with the Pest Control mod. I'll need to check the cause. In the meantime, please make sure to feed your frog guest.
