Friendly Neighbourhood Hylotl Thread: Glub Glub!

I noticed people were making threads for pretty much every species EXCEPT Hylotl. I am disappointed by this. Shame on you.

They appear to be East Asian-inspired, at least as far as the "fin-styles" and the clothing options go (they look like they're wearing yukata or kimonos). That's my prediction, anyway, and I think it would be interesting!

 

They look interesting and add some color to all the races
they have a Japanese theme it seems
but how do they taste? what's there back story?

without these I wont be able to make a final decision.

Oh and i like the all or nothing of the poll reminds me of older games where you only had to options,
Easy [wuss out] or Hard [Be a badass]

 

I quite like fish, especially salmon.

Anyway, I am...neutral on the subject of Hytlotls?

 

They've got kimono-like clothes with them. Seeing one in a kimono makes them so damn cute.

 

I am probably going to create one for the lulz.

 

Conceptually, I'm totally in love with hylotls, but if I'm being completely honest, the aesthetics of the race disappoint me, and this will likely prevent me from playing as one. The fin choice is somewhat lackluster, the most feminine fins look like hair, and that makes no sense to me. I am also not a fan of the red eyes. I would have preferred black if we cant change it but it would be nice to have the ability to switch the eye color. I think those are my two biggest gripes about the aesthetics of the hylotls, and they changed those tiny things, I'd most definitely be playing as one. As of right now, I still envision playing as a Floran or possibly a Novakid.

 

Hylotls remind me too much of the Axolotl Song. Salamander goo confirmed in game?

 

I think we would all benefit from a tutorial on how to make these.

I like your style. Some people are too boring and just can't handle parties. Especially the ones with Hylotls.

 

I tend to be fond of species with three eyes. More information about this race will be desired of course.

 

On second thought, I should have condensed all the "YES" into one option.

 

for now they're too barebones and without flavor, we need the lore and style before seeing if they are cool or not

also, making a pool about the underdog race amidst the novakid craze is paramount to suicide!

if even glitch and avian fanbases are having difficulties with ppl changing sides because of them, imagine Hylotl and Florans?
