Server Help Friend can't join a server, but I can.

    I am desperate for help. Me and my friend have been trying to play on a server (45.55.247.165:21025). I can connect fine, but she can't! She keeps getting this... Join failed! Error connecting to '45.55.247.165:21025'
    We've tried everything. Running as administrator, disabling firewall, setting upnp to false, removing the :21025... EVERYTHING!
    There is no anti-virus, she's on the correct version, she should be able to connect. We're so close to giving up.

    *This happens with any server she tries to connect to.

    Not sure if you've done this but she may need to port forward?It's not something I've ran into often but could be the reason.

    She can't understand how to port forward. I doubt port forwarding is the problem, though.

    Whoever is running the server MUST port forward. This is a requirement.

    As for not being able to connect to any server, that is a network issue on their end and out of our hands. They would have better luck contacting their ISP as they could test their network for problems.

    She's not the one hosting the server. She is able to join servers in the koala versions so I don't think it's all down to her network.

    How does she still have Koala? That version has become depreciated. If it is the game, it is beyond support at this point.

    If she can join koala servers, then wouldn't she seem to have the koala version, but to play on other servers she needs to have the current one? Maybe she needs to update?

    If course, it's another stab in the dark... Could be ports, could be network settings...

    Something I can actually fix

    Okay. Port forwarding is the first choice. But its very complicated. My best bit of advice is to use a lil neat tool called Hamachi. Basically it just lets you connect to each other a lil easier. Both of you install it and establish a network between you. And then once the server is open you join as normal but tell your friend to copy the IPv4 address that is given on Hamachi. That should work. If not add the :21025 afterwards.

    Worked for me and my friend. Hope it helps you.
