Closed Freeze on launch post chucklefish logo.

As the title says. Game freezes after the chucklefish logo appears in both normal and opengl mode.

Specs:
WinXP 32 Home
Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT 1024 MB edition
2 GB ram
Creative X-Fi audigy live soundcard.

Verified the steam files without without error.

Same, froze my whole computer at the same time T.T

 

I also had this problem and my specs might even be better then the poster. Will we get a notice when this will be patched?

AMD Radeon 6670 HD 1GB
4GB Ram
No Sound Card but am improvising with a USB headset, Works about the same.

As far as I can tell guys, it's not a game breaking bug. Just be patient and it'll load after a few moments. I had the same problem and I just left it alone for a few minutes and it started right up.

 

This is what I have come to expect from the devs. I'm sure this issues will not be fixed in a timely manner as well.

Try setting the Launcher to run as Admin in properties. Not sure if it had anything to do with fixing it but mine began werking after. Still hangs for a heartbeat but then it starts fine.

Can confirm, waiting at logo screen worked. Don't touch mouse/keys and it will eventually launch.

 

Yeah it seems to be Windows thinking it's crashed when it hasn't. Don't touch anything (as Windows will try to stop it) and it starts. I've got this on heavy load programs but never a game.

 

same problum as poster as welll as same specks sept more ram

have opend and waterd over 1 minet each time and done this over 30 times is not loading like outher say

How is anyone still on XP? MS is officially discontinuing all support soon and you've missed the boat on getting Win7 unless you get it OEM.

 

It is a game breaking bug, my game doesn't even get to the point of loading, it just CRASHES, not game is not responding and I don't see any logs.....sigh

And it is always after the logo.
