With every new update, the game just runs worse and worse!
    I have a GTX980 with 8gb of virtual memory, 8GB of RAM, Intel i5 Core and Windows 8.1 x64.
Are you SERIOUSLY telling me thats not enough to run your 2D platform game at 60fps?!

Look, I love the potential of Starbound, but even as an early acces game, it's just one giant mess!
Every update gets worse and worse in terms of stability, glitches, bugs, swipes, items dissapearing, ...

And no, I am not using any mods, but I will say this:
How come mods usually are more stable than your own updates? In previous versions of the game, people made mods of things that you now included in the game, but ran FAR better. I'm just tired of waiting. I mean, you DO plan to release it one day, right?

I can put it as a simple analogy.
Say you owned a Bugati Veyron - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron
One of the fastest commercial cars you can buy.

Now say you drove that car on a road under construction - how fast do you think it can go?

Once optimization hits the cards full potential can be realized, till then its like a fast car on a road still not completed.

I'm glad I'll eventually be able to actually play it again :)

Seeing as how the OP has not actually requested help with their game nor have they responded recently, I'm closing this thread. The developers are already aware of issues that some users have with frame rates and they are looking into it (this has been the case since before this thread was made).

If you'd like to get some help trying different configurations or other possible solutions to your issue(s), please report the first post and ask for the thread to be re-opened. Otherwise, this is a duplicate of other threads.
