    It is, very definitely.

The frozen waste ruins are a bit annoying, first I get stuck in the starting door lol, then I finish to a point where I need morphball tech, so I leave and get it and redo the mission, Finally I get around to where I was and saw a path big enough for morphball tech and I go in there only to be stuck in a tar pit and have to save and exit. pretty annoying lol

Ok, weird, i have made both types of mutagens, but the recipe for wretchel fruit doesnt appear anywhere. Is this a bug?

  4. sayter

    sayter The Waste of Time

both? there are 4 types. once unlocked, wretchel can be found in the gene design lab, as it is a plant. And no, its not a bug. Wretchel appears, and works, perfectly fine.

    NANOKARMA Phantasmal Quasar

I have only unlocked 2 types, weird.

Clearly you need to find the other 2, then.

hint: plagueis nodule on tidewater planet will unlock one of them. Blob Bush Jelly is needed for the other one (which seems to be a bit hard to get at the moment since apparently nothing drops it. uh oh! ill get that one fixed up).

however, you can BUY the mutagenes at the Ansible station, so they are never truly inaccessible. Its easier than crafting them anyhow, but 400 pixels a piece so keep that in mind.

edit: github version has some swaps to facilitate the 3rd mutagene. Black Slime now extracts into Putrid Slime (which was Blob Bush Jelly until just now)

Opinion: Do we prefer making the new alloys (Nocxium, Tritanium, Isogen, Xithricite, etc) by hand, or should they be mineable resources?

  8. Lord Humungus

    Lord Humungus Big Damn Hero

    A mix of both.

Keep them as alloys, not minerals. What we have now is balanced IMO.

Does liquid nitrogen explode on impact with flames?

    sayter The Waste of Time

No, there is no functionality for that currently. Otherwise I'd already have some interesting chemical reactions happening (there are quite a few FU materials that would be dangerous if ever exposed to oxygen, or other specific things)

I'll second keeping them as alloys.
Also, Hellfire chest armor doesn't seem to be protecting me from lava :( I thought it was supposed to. Do I need the full set? Or am I just totally wrong?

I was thinking about taking a flamethrower to a liquid nitrogen ocean lol

The head protects from lava and fire, as do the legs.

the chest gives a nova effect when hit, and protects against heat effects. For now. Armors are getting an overhaul very, very soon. spent 3 hours planning it out today.

Ok thanks. It might help to have a codex that lists the buff icons and what they do, it can be a little confusing.

EDIT - Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I get the recipe for the thermal generator? I built my base on the ocean floor, so I can"t use solar panels. I've tried looking through the Github code, but I'm just not finding it.

EXTRA Edit - NVM, found it. I'm a dummy and forgot GitHub has a search function :)

Any chance we could get core fragment ore in the mining consortium? If the point of it is to allow pixels to be sunk into ores that are too annoying to mine, those things are at the top of the list.

Come to think of it, I think lava can be turned into some in the centrifuge... But still a tad tedious of a process.

Okay, I think I'm stumped. I just can't figure out how to make the Honey Table to craft all the honey based food. Can anyone give me a hint? I spent like a half-hour searching to code to no avail.

best bet is to get something like notepad+, then use the search all files function in your actual mod folder. It'll list all the occurrences for the object name. Find the one that is prefaced by "learnBlueprintsOnPickup" and you have your winning unlock item.

I think I made some progress. It looks like the honey table is outmoded, you can't actually make it as it has no recipe file. But it appears all it's recipes have been moved to the standard kitchen, so that's fine.
One thing I did notice though, it looks like golden glass can only be crafted in a stone furnace, and not in the iron or atomic ones. Shouldn't the later ones be able to handle it too?

Yes. The Honey Table isn't craftable, currently. There's one in the Science Outpost, though, and all recipes are on the Kitchen Table, anyway.

re: golden glass. That's the problem with reading the code directly. There's all sorts of places where CF uses a badly-named tag or object, because the internal name for the tag or object is invisible in-game. "stonefurnace" as a crafting tag is an example of this. Recipes tagged "stonefurnace" are available to all tiers of furnace.

tl;dr-- Golden Glass recipe is fine. Don't believe everything you read. ;-)
