Also, Elder Fluid changes were nice. After I figured out Water + Elder Fluid = infinite Elder Fluid, it created an extremely strong fertilizer that was essentially free to make ;o

ANY LUSH PLANET that is newly generated will 100% have the NPC you need.

You clearly didn't listen, and start with a fresh character and universe. Or you are using a conflicting mod that screws up the starting world dungeon spawns. Either way, not FU's fault. If its another mod, thats on you to figure out.

 

Okay so it's been awhile. I had plans for a super massive pixel farm that required tons of elder fluid to fuel a ton of quantum generators. Those generators powered my furnaces. Now that I am getting back into the mod I see that power cost and fluid dynamics have changed. When did this take place (so I can read up on what has since happened)? And why was everything made to be so damn power hungry? Is there new power tiers or simple power setups? I love the mod. I'm just very confused by the new changes.

 

Thanks mate, and i think the reason it happened was because when i installed FU originally it didnt go into effect when i launched the game so i ended up making the character in vanilla on accident.

 

That was how I planned on powering my empire

 

An entirely new power system is in play now. Power is tiered more directly, and the higher requirements are there to actually make use of power without always having excess and to encourage actually building higher-tier generators and not simply cheese solar forever, etc.

Well with the changes to how elder fluid combines with other liquids (rip water+elder fluid = 2*elder fluid) does anyone have any good ways of mass producing the stuff?

 

Alright, I won't argue about the log files, but the tattered Grimoire thing wasn't obvious because I already had the frozen wastes unlocked. The implication from my perspective is that it unlocked an unrelated mission, so I got confused when I wasn't seeing one. (to be fair, its not the only unclear / redundant thing here but eh...)

As for the regeneration thing, my character usually has a light III augment, though a Large Corrupt Fly pet I've been using was recently equipped with the healing III collar.

Also, I meant to say this in my previous post, (Yeah I dropped the ball here). but if you left click the "Empty Wood Bucket" item, the game has a seizure between the food and wrench(?) inventories, you seem to be able to switch the item between the two inventories this way.

And BBQDuck, you gotta find an ocean comprised of Elder Fluid.

Alternatively, bees are your friends. Set up a lot of apiaries, cross-breed according to the wiki, and eventually you'll get Elder Bees that produce Elder Fluid. Not to mention tons of other useful stuff, and copious amounts of valuable honey, and bees you can sell for money. Set up about four apiaries with Elder Bees and you should get all the fluid your reactors need.

Why so? Anyone who prefers to find it on there own can just ignore it. The universeis large and coordinates are hard to remember. We are playing modded starbound specifically because we want to change how we play the game. Heck I routinely dig through your source code to learn more about the mod. (By the way thank you for writing some rather clean code.)

 

because I made them rare for a reason. The same reason I don't allow Frozen Wastes spoilers or Precursor spoilers. You can post about it elsewhere, but not here please.

 

So I notice that FrackinRaces sometimes shows data for some races and not others, but other times I start the game it shows data for the races it wouldn't show the last time. =/. It always works for the vanilla races. Any ideas? xD

nope. No spoilers, please. Up to the unlocking of the mission itself is fine. Otherwise, I prefer to keep information sparse so that its immersive and not some BS loot-rush.

 

Well for the people like me who prefer to plan out way in advance would it be possible for a small offical place to talk and work trade information on end game topics? I understand your reservation and that cool. If you just want it to be a flat no I understand.
