There are several weapons appearing in the Power Station list. Intentional or mistake? I suppose it makes it easier if you're building turrets?

precisely. just to get the guns back from the turrets.

Can someone help me. The radiation epp is not working, even though i have equipped it in back armor slot. I dont know what to do.

answer1 : you recently installed FU and did not travel to a new sector of space or use a fresh universe.

the current radioactive world is using old data, which is not bothered with n the new EPP system. As such, it will not work with the new EPPs. You'll need to travel out a little bit to generate new planets, or wipe your universe.

answer 2: you built a radioactive EPP, but it is not of sufficient strength to handle the environment:

environments are tiered. You may need a Heating I EPP, or you might need the Heating III EPP depending on the danger level of that planet. You may need to upgrade your gear , or head where you are attempting to go a bit later on when you have better gear

or answer 3: you also use FrackinRaces, and your race is weak to radiation

if your race has a radiation weakness, that penalty is applied *after the armor effects are*. That means that if you have a -20% against radiation and a 70% armor/EPP bonus against radiation...that 20% is removed from the 70%. That means you have 50%, not 70%. If the planet needs 60% to resist its effects....you are below the threshold and need to improve your gear to survive it.

but at the moment what can you say about the error?
what process is it caused by?
Is this an unsuccessful attempt to create a monster?

Speaking of radiation, for some reason the radiation 3 epp didn't seem to do anything against fission-reactor produced radiation, even at lower levels(50+ but below high or max) radiation, I still got hurt.

I was also playing nova kid, and in frackin races, nova-kid are the most resistant to radiation. A Rad 3 EPP + being nova kid = 100% radiation, it made no sense I was hurt by a reactor until I put on an armor with flat radiation 2 immunity.

I didn't check if the reactors still cannot be turned off with a switch, and I'll check and update this post now that I think about it.

I did check the new enriched plutonium and uranium however, and I'm very impressed, it now feels fission reactors can now be useful for much longer than before, freeing players up to go for quantum extractors or other densinium using items when they are first discovering densinium rather than feeling pressure to upgrade to a quantum(when densinium is still scarce for them and they'd rather other cool things), since before enriched fuels didn't last any longer then normal fuels and were only marginally better. 16 power from e-Uranium and 10 power from e-plutonium and rods lasting 10+ minutes makes it far easier to consider powering an ansible network in non-solar/wind capable locations.

A quantum would still be better when densinium supplies are plentiful and players establish a good supply of elder fluid, but until then fission is now a much more viable alternative.

Edit: Ok tested buttons, still cannot turn off reactors. If you tie item transfer devices and use them to remove the fuel from the reactor you can turn them off that way, but currently there is no means to shut them off if you decide to change the rods otherwise. The best you can do is remove fuel via ITD's, and then use some high-healing items after letting the radiation values drop.

You can still remove waste and tritium via ITD to, in order to help keep the reactors "clean" and allow radiation to dissipate when the reactor is removed of it's fuel. But it'd be nice to be able to simply turn them off whether with a button or say, a light sensor(thats something I used to turn a quantum reactor into a night-only power source on a character I primarily used solar power on recently).

Received an EoF Exception (getting kicked back to menu) while exploring a sulphuric planet and approaching a Hi-Tek Dungeon. Must've gotten too close to something buggy, no idea what.

I cannot tell you anything without a log. Provide one.

same answer as every single EoF error. nothing i can do. delete the worldfile.

you do not just "turn off" reactors. This is not a feature I plan to add :)

As for the radiation: yea, you need an Immunity effect as they do not presently use resistances at all.

Really? Strange, I could turn off quantum reactors wiithout any real difficulty(heck, my latest floran fungal base had a light sensor turning off a quantum during daytime, since I had plenty of solar power only during daytime). It's not really a problem though, since the new fuel changes enriched fuels(E Uranium/Plutonium or Ultronium) last a very, very long time. Not to mention ITD's can remove the fuels at the push of a button so you can reduce the risk so long as you had another ITD removing toxic waste/tritum(toxic waste, if it builds up to much produces radiation even if the reactor is off afterall).

I do like the recent changes to power overall though, since now it feels more like I have multiple options for progressing the power requirements. Do I spend hard to find densinium on an existing reactor or build an extra? Do I want to be putting the extra effort in ulronium later? Should I be making better batteries? Do I need a quantum if I got lots of solar ect?

It feels much more like all the sources(solar, wind, fission/quantum) now compete with one another and all have pro's/cons which is what I like, feeling like I have choices.

Not so much a bug report, no crashing but on a cybernetic moon I encounter worms comprised of morph spheres. One of them was doing 60 unavoidable poison damage to me and I was in sunwalker armor, suspiciously OP. I could barely see the poison clouds and the enemy was near impossible to hit. The "segments" of both worms died instantly but the "head" remained intact, but was taking no damage from half the attacks I was throwing at it and I was using a weapon which could damage them. Considering it was a regular cybernetic moon, which I know isn't meant to be a slouch, I couldn't help but feel it was a little OP for an enemy.

I didn't find any dungeons at all at either of those planets after visiting those coordinates. I found a few recipies at some other locations but they didn't really resemble precursor dungeons.

I'll be blunt, i'm not as lucky as most people. I really, really hate when something exists which is so rare as to have no point of existing. The problem with such low occurence rates is it's fun for those who are lucky, but extremely unfair and annoying to those of us who are not. There is no skill involved in finding these things, and so I really hate them as a feature, and it breaks the mod for me.

I like things to be skill based, not luck based. There is no guaranteed way of getting one, and that upsets me. There are no tools to find them either. See Minecraft has the right idea for finding the rare stronghold; it adds tools and means to find them at far more common areas and dungeons that your guaranteed to be able to find. But that doesn't exist in Starbound or FU for these things. And so it upsets and angers me deeply when I try finding them and have no luck in doing so after 3-4 hours of searching and not having any luck.

I like to make progress based on my ability to play, not rely on a nortoriously cruel random number generator. And the fact is, it simply isn't fair to me that everyone seems to find these things and I cannot. I'm even considering just streight up finding out how to cheat to get this stuff since it never shows up. If I'm considering cheating, things are dire.

These precursor dungeons remind me of the infamously over-rare runes in diablo 2 before they were patched, where 99% of the runes on the market were all duplicates because they were far to rare so much so people who were lucky enough to find them started duplicating them to make a crap tone off those who couldn't get any to drop no matter how long they grinded away on high level enemies. Because they legitimately would not drop for all but like maybe a few hundred people out of a few hundred thousand players. It wasn't cool.

Edit: This isn't entitlement. If I look for hours on planets they are supposed to show up, and do not find them I feel there is something fundamentally wrong and it simply is not fun.

Most forms of IRL gambling are required by law to specify the probabilities of winning advertised prizes. Unfortunately in the USA there isn't a method of legal enforcement for video games, such as the requirement that money paid for a video game must be refunded if the source code generating a gambling event produces differing probabilities from a required disclosure.

Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation noticed that problem in his review of XCom 2, where the chance to hit shown to the player wasn't a measure of how often that outcome took place.
