Eh it's done and over with, as I said at the time thursday I was running the most recent build on github to my knowledge :/(as In I updated from github and then started playing). I wouldn't have said anything otherwise.

I even deleted and reinstalled Frackin Universe from github and had the problem thats why I posted the third log file.

You'd be surprised, it's not that they are necessarily hard but they do a 'lot' of terrain damage. I found them annoying until I found out a good number of worms had weaknesses to a certain element(not all of them have the same elemental weakness). Generally from what I remember it mostly makes sense:

    Most worms: Fire
Zerchisium Worms: Electrical(If I'm remembering correctly)
Penembra and Proto worms also weak vs electrical
    Pyrite worms: Cold(fire immune)
    Isogen worms: Heat(Cold immune)

    Etc.

Even so I wouldn't recommend underground bases with worms around. Or even ground based in the case of a mountainous biome.

if you want a damned easy way to deal with burrowers now: all of the recent weapon edits I made have added several new methods to deal with them.

My personal favorite fire-and-forget method is the Disc Rifle. Lacks punch but you can *absolutely fill* a room with bouncing death discs. Scorchburst revamp I just did is *amazing* for killing fire-weak worms. I don't think anything outdoes it, honestly. Electric? Protogun alt-fire. So yea, there are ways :)

The scorchburst is 'exactly' what I use for worms :). It just melts them. I might try the protogun though sometime. I also found quarterstaves to be very good melee weapons against worms as long as the right element is used; the sheer area guarantees hitting all the segments with ease.

no no. i mean the newly *redone* one. its a vastly different gun than it was before :)

I think most of the people having trouble with worms (like I was for awhile) is early-game. Now, it's been a bit of time since I last played Starbound/FU, but I was seeing worms on Zerchesium and Crystalline Worlds, and I didn't have these fancy high-tech guns that can fill a whole room with death. I had spears and swords, with maybe the occasional wand, and they take a million hits to kill with such weaponry. At least now, we have longswords which I am entirely thankful of... at least that lets you block most of the damage they do, unless you get caught in a hallway and can't dig out fast enough because you still got a wimpy MM.

I think most of the worm complaints are coming from early-game people before you get all that awesome later-game tech that can murder the things.

I think Scorchburst could be considered as an early-mid weapon according to its recipe. Dual Arm Cannons (shock) are also valid. And any spear/quarterstaff with Energy Whirl alt fire makes short work of those worms.

I always get mining lasers and prioritize upgrading them and ore detectors so I can quickly make an escape route from worms if I have to. Ultimately worms don't get me trouble in terms of surviving them, it just takes a long time for me to kill them. I always play very very defensively though(even making extra salves/medical kits early on and spamming them in combat while also blocking) so that may be why I don't really have trouble defending against them, just get annoyed at the ones that survive a long time.

question, is there a way to get decorative versions of the cosmic obelisks? i love how they look and would like to use them to decorate my base with.

So I keep getting the error
    Code:
[Error] Exception caught in client main-loop
(EofException) Failed to read full buffer in readFull, eof reached.

whenever I try to load my character. I am certain it is because of me spawning on a barren world, but I don't know much else

I currently do not have the latest version, so I will see if that fixes it.

Downloaded the update, but now meeleeattack.monsterskill is causing a crash on launch; logs attached, will remove it for now

Removed meleeattack.monsterskill, game launches, but I still get the previous error.

UPDATE: Making a new character works, fully confirming it is the planet's fault. If I could just find a way to spawn on my ship...

the only eof fix is to delete that planets worldfile.

your other issues are due to using old/outdated mods or mods that directly conflict with FU. Saturnians being one, it completely breaks FrackinRaces. Exporerpods are outdated. CustomCollections UI is built into FU and will cause issues having separately installed. Legacy Microdungeons is effectively already included, Freedom of Movement likely conflicts directly with techs, but might not. Combinable Augments is *always* a bad idea with FU. People abuse it and absolutely *obliterate* their game balance or increase lag horrendously by adding tons of effects never intended to stack... Better Upgrades is redundant as FU already offers a superior anvil (though should work in tandem with FU), Legacy Monsters & NPCs is possibly outdated now, and if not, also worked into FU already (more or less, anyhow),

the rest *looks* okay, but yea.... more than likely the melee attack issue was caused by another mod that also modifies that same lua file trying to edit it at the same time as FU. I'd gander through your mod list and see what you can pull from the above list and go from there.

    okie dokie

Probs just gonna keep removing the meleeattack.monsterskill because A) It doesn't take too long, and  I am not going to try and find out which of my 92 f*****g mods (man i got issues) cause the conflict.

The big red sign is a bit misaligned and covers some stuff where it shouldn't. Also, I thought the slime race mod was FR-supported, or is this still WIP?

slime race hasnt been compatible with FR for two years. the race has STATS in it, but i dont think they are enabled. if they are, then i guess it is ?

and, redownload FR. thats fixed already. (on git. uploading here now since i apparently forgot). At least, it should be. Even if it isn't, simple matter of repositioning that bit.

Hmmm, how does the trees in growing trays work? I tried it but the tray didn't really recognize it, I even placed a new one and nothing happened when I put a sapling in, do I have to somehow make the saplings into seeds?

Edit: Just tried it with a hydroponic tray and now it's working.
