    Definitely sounds like a buggy race mod - they often make changes to dialog files, and if the change has a syntax error (such as a missing comma) it causes the changed file not to load. With no dialog to find, the NPC errors out and self-dies.

    Exactly which race mods do you use? I know for certain that the Latexians is bugged in this way and hasn't updated since. The Greckan and Draconian used to be, but it was fixed... I think...

    Tell me if I get too annoying. Could a jetpack tech or epp be added?

    Basically allowing you free directional movement after you double tap the space key for about ten seconds before it needs a recharge like the dash ability that is just above the strength of a spear with the "rocket spear" alt.

    It could be useful for space environments and low gravity planets, or saving you from a deadly fall.

    Around line 1188. I've tried disabling various mods but the error persists and it is always the same dungeon and the same error.

    I have a lot of race mods. (around 30)
    I got Avakin, Avali, Inkling, Bunnykin, Callistin, Dragconis, Draenei, Felin, Kemono, Ningen, Khiro (reloaded), Greckan, Lamina, Mantzi, Maximimas, Nightar, Ooze, Slime, Cubi, Munari, Wasp, Irken, and SBG race (8 race in 1 pack).

    Basically anything that wasn't adjusted for mechs with the major update will EVENTUALLY cause you problems.

    I don't know how updated Draconis, Dranei, Khiro, Greckan, Mantizi, Maximimas, Ooze, Cubi and Irken are because I don't use them. I also got rid of SBG because it has a lot of problems (last time I used it). I don't have Avikan, but I know it's up to date and plan to get it. I know for a fact that Kemono is out of date (unless you're using the Steam release) and can cause a total game crash. I'm also just waiting for them to fix Kazdra already because I want my 1st character playable again!

    @sayter want to thank you and all those who make it possible for the mod to continue growing and adding more things. Keeping always updated. I wanted to consult you, if with the gaseous planets you could give them steady gaseous earth or some added so that they can be navigated and if possible to discover towns or villages or dungeons of the Novakids. It's just an idea. Greetings from Uruguay.

    Hoo boy, that's a bunch and a half. Okay, unless you feel like digging through the code for errors, easiest way to find the culprit:
    First, back up your /Starbound/Storage folder. That way, your characters and universe will be safe. You can move back the backup when you're done.
    Then, find a planet with a vanilla-race settlement. Save and quit.
    Remove a bunch of race mods temporarily. (Drop them in a different folder.) Load up the game and talk to people. If they die, the buggy mod is still in play. If not, it's among the removed ones.
    Repeat removing and putting back mods to continue to narrow down the suspects. Once you have worked it out, remove the race mod and alert the mod owner of the issue.
    let's hope it's just one mod causing trouble. Multiple... well, that's somewhat tricky. Good luck!

    EDIT: Aaand I just spotted "Wasp" in your list. Yeah, that one's bugged, despite me telling the owner of the problem earlier, before they updated to 1.3. There are missing commas in the guard.config.patch file. If you know how to unpack .pak files, you could edit it yourself. Otherwise, remove the mod from play. See if that helps.

    How common is it to find the precursor fuel creating station?

    I feel very accomplished for some reason and want to know if it's justified.

    I know how you feel i was lucky and found one on my 3rd planet and it's been in my lab for the longest i think i have stored up around 200 of it's fuel. But my main goal on it is now getting that athelium cleaver. But i can't find a blade rune and i hate going to the chutulu mission it's a pain in the bum to do. I get bs by it that i have to hit the point i have to do /admin just to win. (example: he push me away that his life disappears and it gets fully healed again).

    i've managed to find an elder sea and now i just need to find more xeradite or whatever it's called so i can make another quatrum generator so i can power up a good chunk of my base. wish we could buy the said ore i need for 10k+ sence i have a hard time finding it lol.

    The trouble is people are likely to not really go to the top tier worlds if the ores can be purchased. Thats kinda the thing about the ansilus network, it allows only metals you could have gotten to be able to build it pretty much. Only violium, aegisalt and ferozium require a tier higher to mine.

    If you mean that tentacle head guy in the outpost, just keep hitting him and he will eventually die. In starbound some NPC seem to have much more health than their health bars appear (or could it be caused by number overflow?). Similar things happen to archers in the Brine Star. I believe it is a vanilla bug.

    He's managable for me just need to use some buff herbs and kill the minions and i'm fine. I'm talking about shaggoth himself i get bs in some way from fighting it.

    i THINK threes something wrong with the radiation epp i put on the highest ranked one and went to a retroactive planet and still got the radiation statues effect am i doing something wrong or is this a glitch

    You are incorrect. It functions fine.

    if it doesnt there are two possible answers:

    1. you have FrackinRaces installed and your racial Radiation weakness increases the amount you require
    2. you have recently installed the mod or are otherwise at a place that has been around a while, and has not generated the new FU planet effects. You'll need to travel out a fair distance to regenerate. Or, if you dont care about your existing bases on planets etc, delete your universe and start fresh.

    * overhauled mechs:
    * all mech body armor values adjusted
    * all damage and armor scaling for mechs and space monsters has been reworked to be on-scale with planetary biomes. This means damage will no longer be absurdly stupid on biome-mobs, and your space and biome combat experience will be interchangeable. It also means you can actually fight space mobs outside of a mech and survive.

    Mech Changes / Additions
    --------------------------------------------------
    * shield drones are now tiered, and incrementally better with each tier. You get 1 at tier 3, 2 for the second upgrade, 3 for the next, and 4 for the tier 6 shield drone. They also rotate around you from the second tier onward!
    * space mobs now have resistances to elemental effects
    * rescaled space monster health and damage to suit mech changes
    * damage from mech weapons has been adjusted to suit the new damage scale.
    * mech weapon damage now sets the weapons level to be that of its Power stat.
    * the Base Damage of a mech arm, multiplied by the tier, sets its damage.
    * After this is computed, bonus damage is applied based on the Body, Legs and Booster of your mech. The better the part, the higher the bonus. This allows older weapons to remain relevant for longer, as simply upgrading your other parts can boost your attack power.
    * rescaled mech protection. At tier 3 (Basic Mech) it is lower than it once was, but retains its previous resistances above this level.
    * mechs now have a chance to land a critical hit. This is based on the energy of your mechs Body, divided by two. This makes the highest possible base chance at 3%. There will be ways to adjust this later on.
    * all mech attacks drain some energy. Crits drain slightly more. You'll still need to ration your mechs!
    * mech energy drain reduced. As you increase in tier, your drain decreases.
    * XS Mechs Modular edition basic functionality merged into FU. None of the actual mech parts, etc are in (save for the refurbished leg parts so the legs don't look ridiculous). But crawling, taller mechs, repositioned arms etc should all be doing fine and dandy. FU also now loads *after* these mods so that they are fully compatible with XS. Note that damage on other mods mech arms is going to be *absurd* until a patch can be released for them.


    * zerchesium and telebrium ores now have the same rarity as their bars
    * katana duration between combos increased.No more uber-rapid-fire, sorry
    * lunari scythe appears where it should
    * removed Fenerox hairstyles
    * Translocators should no longer be able to cheeze through doors.
    * Translocator I range increased
    * Bee Wing graphics replaced (Gainem)
    * new Mech Body, Booster and Weapons (DarkPursuer)
