uuum i was just playing a while ago and i somehow got an elder bee from somewhere without having the needed bees to breed it. i was tring to get radiactive bees to spawn and the only thing i can guess is that instead of a radiactive queen spawning it spawned an elder bee drone instead. the only thing i can think of is that i got a t 0 elder fluid seed close by them from ores seed mod but i just need to get a new log for it if one spawns again as this was about 2 hours ago when a storm took my internet away.

 

can you post an image of how you got the ITDS set up in there guis as thats what is messing me up mostly.

 

Yes it seems elder bees are highly favored as mutations when trying to get radioactive bees. Both times I've gone for rad bees I've ended up with elder queens and drones long before I got any rad queen (drones are rather quickly generated, though).

 

lol i just finnaly gotten a radioactive queen bee and only gotten 2 elder bee drones from it. if i'm able to get a queen from this i'll be happy.

 

Something i noticed, the Fission Reactor looks like what i would expect a Fusion Reactor to look like. any plans to have those separate in the future?

no. for now it works fine. ive long wanted to add such a timer to FU foods.

 

you didnt use the character for ages and came back... that effect no longer exists.

the only way to fix it is to create an effect in the location it is looking that matches that ID.

I was able to fix it. I looked up how to decompile the player save data and just deleted the augment in that place. Thanks for the help.

 

@fernworrier for the water gathering and poison conversion, you don't need any configuration at all. Just wire them up and you're set. I'll try to get some screenshots of the centrifuge ITDs done later today.

You know, what we could REALLY use is if someone would make a video tutorial for the item network system. Does anyone here know how to do that?

Say, speaking of bees: you know the planets with the hostile bee/wasp swarms that continually spawn even more bee/wasp swarms? I keep getting ungodly amounts of lag whenever I set foot in the biomes, presumably from massive recurring bee/wasp spawnage.

welp i have found a liquid crystal /beer strange sea at small expanse IV x 265520143 y-859927137 and another pure honny/sufric acid strange sea for the third time in the past hour.

 

No, no! By all means, put more bees in! Just fix the lag they cause.

I once set foot on a planet filled with endless seas of honey, not a bee in sight. Was disappointed.

 

not much I can "fix" when its purely performance/PC based. I dont get the same slowdown at all on my end until I get about 40 bees on screen. I already knocked them down to 1/4 their original totals!

 

Sometimes it's super convenient, and other times it's annoyingly complicated. The most painful thing about it to me is how the range limitations work (they are quite short, and can only be extended by manually placing down another container as a waypoint. Item destinations can get weird if proximity issues cancel out item movement. I have yet to test the idea of a practical item circuit, which I hope would virtually unite item containers, drastically reducing the number of terminals necessary in a large base, and potentially bypassing most range limitations. But that's a time consuming test, and Army hours in field units aren't great for free time and experimentation.
