    Many are pretty cool, but the ones I mentioned feel pretty bad to use. The Graviton Gun can't kill almost any normal enemy on a single bar's worth of energy, and the Beam Gun's secondary, the proxi mines, does pretty good damage but the "beam" part of the BEAM Gun is pretty much useless.

    Try removing the mod called "Spanish" for a while and see if the game runs without it. It's throwing dozens of errors.

    You're using an outdated version of the client. You got 1.1.1... that should be what, 1.2.... 4? something like that?

    But yeah. Either update it, or buy it if you're using a pirated version.

    Then clearly you haven't used the Beam Gun much lol.That thing is pretty nuts in the right hands.

    Graviton I'm investigating right now.

    But overall, never *ever* use DPS as the sole factor of judging a weapons use in FU. Especially when you factor in alt-fires + dot or aoe effects in addition to the resistances playing a much larger part in combat now.


    okay looking at graviton stats:

    on paper, its faster than the doom cannon. it does more base damage, and uses less energy as well. However, its base damage is a bit low. Not hideously so, but it needs more oomph for sure.its maybe half a point off where id be pleased with it. I think where it suffers more is the way it fires slower and at such minimal range.

    It's ALT on the other hand, is amazing. Bear in mind, enemies take fall damage now.
    The graviton alt applies huge knockback force with average damage as well. I'll increase its primary fire damage a bit. But its alt is where the real power is at. I just tested it against an enemy 3 tiers higher than me, in armor 2 tiers lower than that enemy. Knocked it off a cliff and killed it without it being even a remote threat. And thats before correcting the damage ratio.


    also, when comparing weapons...its good to say what *type* you are comparing them to. A pistol at t4 and a grenade launcher have vastly different weapon values, for instance. Not a big deal obviously, just for reference :)

    theres your problem. You're using an outdated client. Either upgrade your legal copy or *stop illegally downloading games of the improper version and expecting them to work with mods of the proper version* before checking if you are using the right thing, before posting these sorts of things.

    Please enlighten me then, cause my D4-B mining laser does double the dps the beam does, AND applies the electrified status effect so groups actually take ok-ish damage. I'm purposefully ignoring the secondary fire of the beam gun, a generic proximity mine isn't really what I wanted out of a BEAM gun. Sure the beam gun is way more energy efficient but even the mining laser takes a full minute to empty my bar. Firing for 5 minutes to do 0 dmg seems sad.

    Got one of those "spontaneously failing quests" where it immediately fails because the game couldn't create the creature, or something. For background info, I was supposed to track down and kill a nutmidgeling and bring back some raw meat and forest queens.

    I wonder, now I already obtain some tie 8 rare weapons from chests, does it still worth to spend precious resource for weapons in Armory?

    Sure, the armory weapons (especially the guns) add lots of cool new firing modes etc, even the melee weapons add some special attacks. And resources aren't that precious you can always get more. Universe is (in practice) infinite.

    Phase armor seems bugged that, it removes the invincible frame after being hit. When I walk on electric spikes, or swarmed by a lot of enemies, I always die in seconds despite the high defense given by this armor.

    And don't forget the staves and wands there as well. The numbers for those are particularly misleading, some do awesome damage. The only way to really know is to try them out.
    Personally, I recommend the "Cane of Eyes". Does good damage, and is incredibly fun to use. Who doesn't want a remote control mechanical eye with a rapid fire laser blaster?

    Hey, Sayter, just here to report a couple of bugs.

    1 - SpaceFarer Armor + Mining Laser = instant death to enemies. For some reason, when both are equipped, player damage goes up indefinitely until it shows "inf". Also, the bonus damage is not applied to blocks as (I believe) it should.

    2 - SpaceFarer also gives low grav effect on some planets (happened in protoworlds and penumbra). As far as I remember there wasn't low grav rain or blocks, so it might be worth checking.

    3 - Lowest tier battery doesn't powers anything unless connected to some other power source. I tried connecting the fully charged battery to many things (blast furnace, hydropnics tray, etc) and it dindn't work. When I connected it to a wind turbine it did.

    4 - Limestone aka Unrefined Limestone is not extracting to anything in any tier of the extractors.

    5 - Lab Directory has outdated/wrong info regarding some resources, don't quite remember which (minor thing).

    Edit: Also, EPPs upgrades are not showing up even though they've been unlocked.
    If I find/remember any more I'll write it in another post.

    spacefarer works as intended, apart from perhaps the mining laser thing. though i *think* its fixed now

    battery functions as intended

    limestone, ill look at that


    lab directory *cant* be wrong. it reads all relevant data, whether or not the objects exist in the mod. If they are in core recipe lists, they will appear there :)

    I've made a little mod about crossbows for a personnal use from an old outdated crossbow mod (i haved modified crafttable, recipes, hand position, power...).
    I think FU is lacking of crossbows :) Do you want it ?

    I checked the code, and found that the immunity effects are still in environment augments and Field Generator. Are they going to be changed in the future? (I really hope not..)

    And Phase Armor is still bugged in the most recent version.
