    steambound's (steambound reloaded, at least) version of the router interface looks like this

    similar to FU's....but different. it appears as though it's easier to configure than FU's, though that may be due to the physical connection of the pipes from container to container vs FU's wires-only approach..iunno, i don't code, so i can't really dig into it to find out for sure what's going on.

    but, the similarities in the diagram make me think that it could be helpful.

    the input slots, for example, seem to direct the router to take things from specific slots in the origin container. The output slots seem to direct the router to deposit items in specific slots in the destination container. the item slots in the top right seem to be filters. down in FU's bottom panel, that seems to be settings for those filters. Labels would be nice in future updates :D. the "don't take filtered items" bar under steambound's filter slots doesn't say anything in FU's, so i can't be sure if it's actually doing the same thing or not, but the "Inv. Logic" in what i believe are the filter settings on the bottom panel seems similar enough to steambound's "Invert filter" checkbox. so, i'm guessing that to get (for example) water and fertilizer from the origin container and put them into slots 2 and 3 respectively in the destination container (hydroponics tray), settings should look like this...

    buuuut still, nothing is showing up in my hydroponics tray's inventory, sooo i dunno if i have the settings wrong, the wiring wrong, or if i'm missing something else entirely. *shrug*

    also, i wonder if i'm going to need to have a separate router for each origin container....so when i want to send crops back to the locker, am i going to need a separate router set up for each tray? because there's no obvious way to select origin vs destination containers, so i'm guessing we'll have to do that with wiring?

    Ok anyone figure out this inventory management system yet? Mine works half the time and when I try to replicate the same setup, it doesn't work the other. Half. I'm just hoping it's glitched and I'm not really this dumb.

    In any case the UI for the new inventory management system is AWFUL.

    How come the zip version crashes at startup? I figured out that tar works fine, just curious.

    Considering you didn't attach a log file, desipte the very first thing on the mods description page telling you to do so when reporting bugs: I have no idea. I can't possibly guess a reason. Works fine without crashes for me. Either attach a log or don't bother to report such things.

    its a work in progress. Some kinks to work out still. UI is less of a problem, and simply requires better graphics. I'll be making it match the other FU UI.

    then simply drag the folder frackinuniverse-master or whatever its called into starbound/mods


    then play


    pak will be back once the changes are stable

    so has anyone figured out if my suppositions based upon the steambound picture were anywhere near correct?

    and has anyone figured out if the default behavior is to whitelist the items put into what i supposed are filter slots, or to blacklist them? so, do i need to use inv. logic on these items if i want to have the system only move them? practically, i turn off inv. logic for items 1 and 2 (i'm assuming that items 1-5 correspond with the filter slots above. i could, of course, be wrong), and my origin container empties itself of those items...into the router's filter slots (that's what i'm calling them for now, anyway). they don't move on to the hydro trays, they fill up the router slots and sit there. so, i leave inv. logic on, for the moment.

    impenetrable, baffling, frustrating.

    seriously, if anyone has figured anything out that works, please show us :X.

    @sayter can you ask kherae to do some sort of tutorial, so there's no question about how it's supposed to work? that way we get it straight from the coder's mouth, so to speak. that way, there's no ambiguity about whether it's broken or just poorly interfaced >.>

    Some bugs:
    Kinectic field 4 gives 15% instead of the said 20%;
    Shoggoth breastplace and greaves appearance looks odd on a mannequin.
    Both gene enhancer and adv rig don't unlock their techs. Previously unlocked techs are working fine.

    Now for suggestions, could you make a augment that gives a better speed boost? Or give most of the end-game armors a boost on speed, even if around 5~10%. Also, how much food capacity does the third related augment adds?

    Since we have a craftable tool for wiring, how about a tool for painting, like a paintbrush? Not super useful, but it'd fill out the crafting lists.

    Something that eases/automates getting stuff from your farm animals would be nice too. I've been using a Guardin' Bot from the Garden Bots mod for this purpose, but it's not exactly its intended purpose. Could be nice to have, I dunno, an automated milker/shearer/egg-picker, or a robo-farmhand. Though the latter may be culturally insensitive to the Glitch.

    not sure why the techs wouldnt unlock. They weren't changed. They appear in different tiers of the nanofabricator, instead (recipe wise) but otherwise I haven't changed much.

    Once exception: rather than requiring you to finish the scientist quests at the outpost you are instead required to finish the very first farming quest (ie: pickup wood) to unlock them properly. So you aren't forced to do those quests (though still have to, game wise, but i digress)

    but, we'll see if there is in fact something up.
