I did have a look at the log before posting, and i saw that it was "an impossible node" problem, which is why i took everything which was wired out of the colony after getting over the <sadface> and panic of potentially losing all of the resources i hoard there (to avoid losing them if another ship wipe happens, funnily enough).

Directly identifying the popped item now won't be possible, so it's down to supposition.
Might have been the hydroponics trays, they're the only thing i can think of which changed during the update, which was wired and i hadn't removed before updating the mod to the most recent (at that time) github version (i had forgotten about them as i rarely use them, they're cool decoration in my 'science colony').
It's possible that the change in size meant that the nodes were placed over adjacent items due to the resizing, resulting in the 'impossible node' issue.
I'm assuming that the node placement on those items was changed along with the size and art style?

If anyone is having the same issue, it is recoverable, it is a bit of a faff, but you can rescue your colony from the crash loop.

you should not be playing on nightly with FU. period.

When they make changes to cockpit and other aspects we dont incorporate them until they are live. Since 1.0 is the stable build now, that is ALL fu is built to support.

 

It is nothing urgent or game breaking, but the "Elder Spear", "Elder Blade", "Ripper Gun" and the "Dimensional Repeater" have no "fullbright" effect, although the "Elder Disruptor" has. Also the "Elder Blade" has some sort of animation glitch in which the swoosh is misplaced, and its elemental type is electric(I don't know if this last one is intentional), and the "Dimensional Repeater" has no alt ability(again, I don't know if this is intentional or not.).

as for the rest:

Repeater doesn't get an alt, as it is a machine pistol.Arguably my own fault as I mistakenly left it two-handed. That will be fixed with the next update.

elemental types are all correct, however. Except the repeater, as its set to physical and should not be


edit: the swoosh is due to the weapon graphic itself. The short blades all need to be straightened. I should get on that

 

I would also like to ask, since the wiki, Googling, and just plain searching through admin commands did not help; How int he world are you supposed to naturally unlock Rockroot Seeds? I know it needs Currentcorn, Regenerative, Insectoid, and Mineral Samples, but despite already having Currentcorn out there, it hasn't unlocked in the Gene Design Lab. Is it one of those broken unlocks?

 

Use GitHub Search.

Step 1: Go to https://github.com/sayterdarkwynd/FrackinUniverse
Step 2: Type "Rockroot Seed" in the search box.
Step 3: Click on "Rockrootseed.object"
Step 4: Notice the itemID is "rockrootseed".
Step 5: Type THAT into the search box.
Step 6: Look for "learnBlueprintsOnPickup".
Step 7: There it is. It's in vanusflowerseed.object and wildvanusflowerseed.object. That means picking up a Vanus Flower Seed will unlock Rockroot Seed.
Step 8: Don't know how to make Vanus Flower? Repeat the process with Vanus Flower Seed and keep doing that until you figure out how to start the chain.

EDIT: Sudden Patch Day, lol. Hopefully it doesn't break anything in FU, lol.

 

I've been stuck on that quest for a while, and I almost made it to zerchesium(didn't find any on the surface of the planet I just arrived on, which had it), but tungsten is much easier now.

If you're not used to the gregness of advanced technology, then you're gonna Get Gregged. Excellent Mod, Amazing Complexity too! I see the bigger Armoury already making T1 Ships cringe and cry for crew member upgrades and/or laboratory colonies.

 

It did, but Renbear's been testing with the nightly builds and has some fixes which Sayter merged in about 25 minutes ago. It's possible that there are other as yet undiscovered breakages.

I know theres a new patch and new crashes are mostly related to that. I want to post my log anyway.

Welp, I found something.:

Exception caught in client main-loop (Jsonexception) Cannot call get with key on Json type array, must be Object type.

This happen as soon as i get into my Captains Chair, right soon as the update hit. :/ I was over a Penumbra Planet when it happened. It then boots me off. Leaves a presence in a log, I honestly wonder what it is :/
