    I was that "grapevine" and I told @Mackinz that I noticed one day on one of my GitHub pulls that a couple files relating to racial abilities in FU were deleted, or well, I noticed the "0 bytes" and all the red -'s meaning the file was removed outright. So I figured "looks like he moved everything over to Frackin'Races!"

    I always like to take a quick glance at the GitBash output after an update just curious of what was changed.

    I don't know, I had a lot of fun with my bees. Sure, you can set them up until you hit the arctic/volcanic wall and not get that much out of them up to that Point (though those candles provide a nice cashflow early on with little to no personal upkeeping requirement. Once you get them all, however, things become interesting. I have an unlimited Tungsten supply (which seems to be the hardest ore for me to find elsewhere unless i demolish a metallic moon) and they power two Quantum reactors faster than those can drain their fuel.

    As I didn't know mites were not a thing in current versions I prepared for this anyway.

    Bees take a lot of Investment (mostly time-wise) to actually yield something of value. But if you do invest that amount of time you get a production line that runs (almost) completely without Player interaction. Currently my bees produce a varying number of Tungsten, enough Diamonds to fill my monetary Needs and roughly 3-4 Solarium stars per Minute (I Need 2 to power my Generators). I love them bees.


    But I also feel somewhat disheartended when I see my second character without those bees somewhere in midgame, yet when I think about what I have to do to get to the Point descibed above I just don't really want to start Setting them up that late in game. I miss them anyway :)

    I really like the bees mod. Would love to see more added to it of course, without them becoming too strong.
    So your suggestions:
    1. Yes, that would be nice. Even 1000 (x3) Drones with tons of flowers nearby don't produce THAT much ore to break any and all Progression.
    2. Sure, Options are always a good Thing.
    3. Also agree, I always want to beat up my centrifuge after it's done processing the ores. If it's 40% now, 50-60% seems reasonable.

    Edit: I never got what scented apiaries are supposed to do...
    And also those durasteel frames and sweet frames...what exactly is considered an item and what is honey (in terms of frame usage). Are honey combs items or honey? If they're honey, what is durastell frame supposed to do?

    Scented apiaries work like normal ones, except they don't have new bees spawning from them. So you don't want to use them to produce new queens.

    "Honey" boosting frames get you more honeycombs. As for "Item" boosting frames, well, some bee types actually produce other things in addition to combs. Like Flower bees, which sometimes give you bee flowers along with flower honeycombs.

    Yes, I got that scented apiary explanation from the original mod page, but why would I ever build one? Why would I want to avoid queen spawns? This I never got.

    It actually sorta does... that line implies that the racial ability stuff is still in FU, and that FR just turns them on.

    Well, you could set up scented apiaries for bees that you don't want queens for. Set up a breeding apiary for breeding bees and queens, and stick all your other bees in scented apiaries; that way the only ones flying around will be the ones you want, instead of filling up your inventory with bees you already have.

    Q: Why is there only one source of Hydrogen (Bio-Ooze), found on only one uncommon biome? In contrast, both Oxygen and Nitrogen (and most other resources, actually) are obtainable from a variety of different materials on a variety of biomes. Just saying: It would be very nice to have an alternative to Bio-Ooze for Hydrogen.

    Uh, there are two more sources of Hydrogen:

    Water in Extractor (H2O, remember?) and the Atmospheric Condenser. The latter will make it so that you will have so much Hydrogen you literally cannot use it faster than you get it if you hook it up to an always-on power source like solar arrays/panels.

    You'd think a mod centered around doing science would make people realize that, you know, actual RL chemistry might be a thing in this mod, at least somewhat?

    I dunno. lol. But yeah, Hydrogen and Oxygen are just... "dump..... water..... in..... extractor......"

    I dunno maybe there's some reason why people don't think liquids work in the extractor? The tutorial questss tell you to dump dirt, wood and stone in the thing... maybe we should add a fourth quest that asks for salt and tells you to dump water in it?

    It would make sense -- salt is not exactly easy to get if you don't realize that all water in the game appears to be salt water and if you've not made a Condenser yet... just an idea.

    pretty sure i already have a Hydrogen quest in the questlines now, actually. I recall doing it up, at least, but whether or not that was a fever dream is another matter. But I think its there, which just means people are either lazy, or skipping the quests....or not bothering to read the actual text content of said quests and power-bombing for the resources they ask for instead. Mind you, we already know people skip the quests, since at least 5x a week we get questions on how to get resources the quests cover already

    One thing that came to my mind a couple days ago, was that you seemingly changed the quests from being complete-able from a distance rather than having to bring the items to the questgivers for every. single. quest.

    I got rather tired of the back-and-forth between my lab and the science outpost because they'd only give me 2-3 quests at a time and it was just me constantly going back and forth. I remember 75% of the quests being completed and the next quest given without going back to the Outpost.

    Did they remove that functionality in 1.0?

    It was nice to not have to teleport around constantly (since the Outpost loading animation is at least 5 seconds for me).

    I guess what I'm trying to say is that if it weren't such a huge hassle to spend an hour+ running back and forth 50+ times, people might do the quests more.

    This is my fault, then. I've still been too lazy to visit that planet on that brochure. As for the water and other methods: I've been relying on the Frackin Wiki to learn some of these things. So if I don't find it on the wiki...

    So, when it comes to the long term, what's the next goal for Frackin Universes?

    Vehicles? (Would be nice to see something combat oriented besides mechs. Not to mention see some sort of upgrade mechanism)

    Magic and spells? (I mean we already have staffs and elder stuff)

    Can confirm one of the early quests is "extract water and bring me the results". Simple case of people refusing to follow instructions or guidance quests because "They can do it on their own" then getting stuck.

    That said, I found the culprit for the tile effects not working in FU, but I am baffled as to why. The super SBG race mod seems to be the cause. It doesn't add any new tile effects, or seem to change any existing ones. Maybe it's the WIP racial effects the various races have?
