    So I found a bug...

Mutavisk Armor, Alien Planet (the vanilla kind) that normally requires the Radiation EPP.

Mutavisk Armor should make me immune to rads, and indeed it does... but for some weird reason, when you enter a challenge room (this got me killed), or beam up to your ship, you lose 80% of your health for no apparent reason.

EDIT: Nothing in starbound.log as to why.

Well, Xylia was right. I had already made a Solar Panel and had enough extra power from a couple Solar Arrays I took off an NPC house. However, making the Solar Array didn't unlock Ansible Network, and it took making a Combustion Generator to do so. Also, somewhere along the way making all the random things I did in the last 24 hours my Bio-Chem Lab unlocked Potent Mutagene, too.

I think the lesson here is JUST MAKE ONE OF EVERYTHING!

Amusingly enough, I was just experiencing that exact situation last night. It appears to be an order-of-initialization issue. The debuff gets applied for one game tick, then the buff (cure) gets applied. It only appears to be a problem when you teleport. I'm really unsure how to go about fixing it. Hopefuly @sayter has some ideas.

Incidentally, it's not just the Mutavisk armor. I was using a radiation augment in a non-radiation EPP. I wonder if it happens when wearing the Radiation EPP?

I've spent 30 minutes scanning my universe map trying to find a crystalline moon. What kind of star do these generate under? Is there a trick to finding them? This is just annoying...

It's just random, sadly. I've seen them with Gentle Stars, I've seen them with Binary Stars, I've seen them with everything else, lol.

I do think that some of the FU planets could have been more tightly grouped like how the vanilla game used to be, where Oceans were always near Temperate Stars, etc.

Unfortunately, it seems like every playthrough, a certain planet type is just hard as nuts to find. Usually, I find that Tabula Rasa is one of the hardest planets to find, but something stupid like sulphuric planets are freaking everywhere on every star, or how nearly every single Gentle Star around has a Bog or a Primeval Forest on it. In fact, during this latest playthrough, I had trouble finding Forests and Deserts despite the fact there were over a dozen gentle stars grouped up within 100 fuel distance.

I've never even seen a Tabula Rasa planet, god help me when I get to the point I need one. At least this entire debacle (I STILL haven't found the moon I need, it's been...about an hour at this point) is preemptively getting me in the habit of bookmarking rare-ish planets I come across.

Every single Tabula Rasa I've ever found has been on Binary Stars, so there is that.

is there a way to disable monsters having their special attacks back?

love everything about the mod but that, as well some of them are ill balanced with 1.0, really annoying when you land on a planet only to take 200 damage in 3 random quick attacks from one monster.

I think a better response would be to report said overpowered attacks, and sayter can make a balance tweak and tone it down.

Okay, posting this here rather than steam because you guys have been around a LOT longer:

Does anyone have interest in being the official Wiki overlord? I see no point in keeping myself as the sole admin if I never @!@1$@!ing do anything to it. And it really needs updating.

First post. Just a big thank you to guys and gals that give their time to mods like this. I am just wrapping up my first 1.0 playthrough. And I am looking forward to my first of many FU playthroughs.

    Sorry about the noob questions.

I have made 3 different sets of VERY strong armor already and have unlocked 2-3 other sets that are just as good. However, there is only one decent weapon unlocked. Almost everything else seems to be at best around L5 and only about 20 DPS. In fact, I got a better one than the Densinium Rifle after about half an hour on a random planet...common quality no less. Actually, this was an issue with vanilla Starbound, too...

Love the mod! :DD I haven't taken the time to explore everything yet, but I like the new planet types, crafting stations, art, objects, etc.

I was wondering if I could create an add-on to the Ground Seeders mod that I made, which spreads surface modifiers onto the ground, to also include the FrackinUniverse ground surfaces too. The mod wouldn't have any FrackinUniverse files inside, would only contain the tool assets that I made, and would just point to the FrackinUniverse files. It would also contain the palettes and art aspects of the ground modifiers in the tool image files so the seeders look like the contained surfaces.

DPS isn't quite that important. Many FU guns have extra effects that aren't quite reflected in their numbers. Try making a few and switching around. You might find something you really like.

stop. paying. attention. to. the. DPS. Rating. on . weapons.
The densinium rifle is freakin' incredible, especially with its alt fire.

You silly people and your DPS. Damage in starbound is computed with weapon speed + base damage + level of weapon. Level being the least important in that entire formula (it barely affects much for a weapon). Speed and BaseDPS is combined to form Damage Per Shot. Base DPS is on-par with vanilla weapons. I know, because I opened every vanilla weapon file, charted down their base attack variable per weapon type and then did the same across the board for all the weapons one at a time. A few need tuning but pretty much all of them should be equal or comparable to vanilla weapons. And in some cases, despite lower stats, are MUCH better.

"better" is not "20 more points of damage" since that 20 points is utterly meaningless if the other weapon is much faster, or much slower. In fact, some weapons are intentionally nerfed to do less damage *because* their alts are incredible and put it above other weapons of otherwise roughly equal stats.
