Look for "mostly harmless" forests/deserts. Also, you may need to move a bit far away on the starmap if your local space was generated before installing Frackin' Universe.

I intalled the mod, changed the folder name and i have the following error. I did something wrong?

Whenever I try to land on an airless planet, I get kicked back to my ship after a few seconds. It seems to occur whenever a meteorite lands on the moon's surface, but I don't get this glitch on any other planet that has meteor showers. Very weird.

 

just navigate to where it has that and delete it. probably solve the issue. If not, it might be because of another mod you are using that adds it (survival, perhaps). I'll look into it.


edit: looked into it. download the newest github version i just pushed an you'll be good to go.

which tells me its a broken or nonexistent NPC trying to spawn and causing the issue. But that one isn't an FU npc, and should in fact be vanilla. In which case, it might just be that particular moon in question. Try a new one.

 

I've actually tried several, and all of them kicked me out after a few seconds. It could just be a really unfortunate coincidence that each one I went to had this same problem, I suppose, but it's still very frustrating nonetheless, especially since it doesn't sound like there's a way to fix it (I've already tried the obvious like verifying game cache, reinstalling FU). I can't imagine any of the other mods I'm running causing issues since they're mostly just race mods.

 

Well it's because they're race mods that there can be issues. One of them seems to something wrong with the villager npc type.
And as I play with Avali and Peglaci without problems, you may try backup universe/player folders, remove Super SBG Race Mod, start a new game, and land on some airless planets.

 

I havent added NPCs to moons, nor have I edited meteors in any way that is tangible. So I doubt it has anything to do with FU in the first place.

It is possible that it is from a dungeon or a microdungeon, however. But again, it has to be a busted NPC template. And I haven't edited "villager". It is highly likely the cause is another mod you use. As to which one, I can't say. I certainly have no issue travelling to moons and walking around them.

What do you mean?

Upgrade Modules? those are a vanilla resource. You can also use them in the Armor Upgrade station within FU though

Modules? There aren't modules. It is entirely new sets available in the nanofabricator.

 

I think I may have found out the problem. I looked on the mod page for SGB races and found that the download link is broken and links to an older version of the mod. I've since gotten the most up to date version. Hopefully that should solve the problem (if not, I'll just pretend my character has a deathly allergic reaction to moons ).

UPDATE: Sadly... you were right. The cause of my problems was the SGB race mod. Even after grabbing the correct version, it still broke moons. I uninstalled it and recreated my universe folder... now I can explore moons no problem. Well, that was rather disappointing. I just lost about 20 hours of progress since my current character was one of the SGB races. I suppose now the only thing to do is wait for a fix. But I appreciate your help.

Thank you very much for the help. But unfortunately, another error appears like the last one. If no one else have this problem, i really think im doing something wrong.
