Well on the recipies then, thats a big derp on my part, I missed that bit of info, saw I still had vials and the lot in my FF chests I figured they were still craftable , well thanks for clearing that up^^ thats fine on not using races, you spend more time working on the mod itself then you get actually playing starbound I'm sure. you have yourself an unoffical beta testing team here to do that part for ya XP, anyway I was like that back when I was setting up an entire minecraft modpack by myself(over 70 mods, with customized configs so everything wouldn't break, the users end up being the ones finding those small mistakes, bugs, ect) I never had time to actually play minecraft, but it was fun knowing everyone who was playing it was having fun.

 

I seem to have run into an issue with one of the quest, the Mining Laser quest, I've built one but it won't seem to advance.

 

for some reason that seems to happen with some. i'll take a peek and make sure i gave it the right item ID.

people had the exact issue with the Thornitox Blade quest. In the end I swapped the way it works to solve the issue. I may have to do the same here.

I suspect it has something to do with the quest engine not liking weapons, specifically.

Nope, but I'll have an update up very soon so don't sweat it. I'm trying to get it done for tonight. It won't include everything I had hoped...but it'll do for now.

 

I need a non-modpack version please, to get it worked in Enraged.

 

it works just fine in enraged via modpak. No need for a non-modpack release any more.

Were oceanic planets changed with this update at all? The last two I've been to were a lot less oceany than before.

 

Nope. Ocean planet biomes have a chance of getting heavy ground cover, too. Most of the time you won't, but sometimes you will

Well the game does not work when i use a modpack
is it really a problem just to keep a non-modpack version stored? you like deleted all previous ones..

 

My dropbox only has so much room, and the old versions are no longer serving a purpose.

Why does the game not work when you use a .modpak? It's designed specifically to use them in this version. Modpak should go in the base /mods directory. Not /mod/zfrackinflora. Perhaps that is the problem, is you aren't putting them in the right place.

 

Well i dont know, it just so happens to get a error box when one of my mods are in modpack format

 

Amazing work as always. As you now have a lot of graphic assets, you may consider optimizing them with PNGGauntlet. This should reduce their size, allowing a smoother experience.

Hey, I really want to play with "Frackin' Flora," "Variety is the Spice of the Universe," and "Just Buckets." I can't seem to find the compatibility patch for this mod and "Variety is the Spice of the Universe" mod. Any help for a noob, please?
NEVERMIND!!!! I didn't realize the "VISOTU compatibility" was the Variety mod. My bad, mistake on my part!

Are you using a mod manager or something? This could be part of the problem if so.

But honestly, modpack support is now supported by the core game. If you are getting issues, and its a paid for copy that you didn't download from a torrent site, is up to date, and steam detects no errors on the install.... reinstall and see what happens. You should not have the error. Failing that, search the forums here for an answer to this. Most mods use modpack format now and I haven't heard of this particular problem being an issue prior to today.

See if you can fix it. The difference in loading time for mods alone makes it worthwhile. Not using modpacks when modpacks are a viable option is just silly

That said, for your sake I've tossed one together. But this will not be a habit. Fix the issue on your end

seriously though, fix your issue. Starting in v60 there will never be a non-modpack version again

 

Not at a point you would notice with the kind used by Starbound. They aren't high-rez pictures.
