    The issue was with a biome retexture mod which did not contain bloodstone textures for the space view of the new biome thanks for your rapid response to my question and in the future if I have crashes I will post the Crash logs thanx alot

    Not too tough. Go to Penumbra worlds. Dig. Done. This is also detailed in the patch notes.


    Does no one read the patch notes? That's why they exist! heh.

    I guess I should have mentioned that I have had no luck finding them on Penumbra planets. Are they a random chance thing?

    Nope. The lower tier you are, the rarer it is to find. But they are there. I have found them in every sector. Sometimes you just need to look. But they are there.

    Dig deeper, and you'll find them far more often. Skimming the planets surface will rarely turn up much, if any.

    I think its even noted in one of the quests to go to said planet for said item. :)

    I don't know if the current version is meant to be compatible with Variety an Starscape yet or if that needs to be added onto it, but since the patch notes don't say it isn't compatible I'm posting this here. I've narrowed things down (By removing every one of my mods except Frackin Flora, Variety and Starscape, and then removing Variety and Starscape as well when it still didn't work) that I crash with Variety and Starscape installed, but not without. I've made sure my compatability patch is up to date as well. Here's the log.

    Which compatibility patches are you using? That is an error caused by mismatching biome types, and doesn't occur with the latest version available, nor with the updated celestial.config that I posted a page or two back.

    Yea, with the most recent of everything, you should be fine as per what Jeoshua said.

    On that note, Jeo, totally forgot you posted that Celestial. I'll download that now and try to remember to actually use it with the next update. No point bothering yet, since I plan on adding a few more biomes soon.

    In other news, I tried adding some new star types but the damned things ignore the new graphics I created for them. I may be missing a step though. I'll muck around and see and hopefully I can figure it out. It sure would be cool to have other celestial objects such as black holes, quasars and that sort of thing.

    Allright folks. I'm heading out on vacation for about a week. So, no update till I get back. I wasn't able to finish it on time with all the preparations. I'll be back on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week :)

    But, here's a screencap of one of the new things. The Space Wreckage biome. Nothing too fancy, mostly a reskinned asteroid field but very rich in metals, and crappy with most other materials. Low chance of Penumbrite.

    I've also added several new weapons: Slime Launcher, Proto Pistol, Proto Rifle, Vasha Cutter, Tetherhook Scythe, Thorn Rifle and Carbon Blade. Plus some celestial changes for biomes, relocated biomes into different tiers, and a few other odds and ends.

    I've done that. I added a whole class of sub-dwarf stars. Currently they don't have planets, as I'm attempting to find a way to make them Gas Giant-like, and thus appear as a single point on the center of the map which appears like a planet and has a whole set of moons... unfortunately it appears that while the game will "accept" Orbit level 0 as a valid value, it will never populate it with anything. Sad. I'll probably make them just really close orbits, with Cold and/or Cool biomes available. But I didn't do anything special to get the star, itself, to appear, I just followed what Starscape had already done, took some vanilla resources and added some texture, set them to appear in the celestial file, et viola!

    I like the space wreckage biome. That one needs some mini-biomes to fill it up, actual wrecked ships and what not. Makes you wonder what was there to begin with. Site of a great space battle? Ancient progenitor space station? I can see the biome being very useful for people trying to use a craft-your-own-ship mod. You would never have to worry about where you're getting the resources for your ship, just find one of those places and mine away.

    Well, I added in the "black star" and saw #@$#@ all. Had it's own /stars folder in /celestial, too. Not sure why it didn't load the new graphic. It's possible that stars do not yet allow custom graphics. And that, in turn, might prevent them from spawning at universe gen. I saw no black stars. :(

    Not a huge deal, since it was more experimental than anything.

    As for the wreck biome... yep. Pretty much the exact way I want to approach it. Mini-biomes to make it more lively, so to speak.

    The Variety and Starscape compatibility patch located on the Frackin' Flora page. I made sure to update it when I updated the mod itself.
    Edit: Nevermind, I don't know exactly what caused the problem in the first place but it must have been on my end because I fixed it when I tried reinstalling the mod and compatibility patch.

    Always delete the old versions of mods when upgrading. Sometimes files get removed in a new version and they can cause problems.

    I did, I think I may have forgotten to take the compatability patch out of the main folder. Doesn't matter much now that it's fixed though.

    Hey sayter I love the mod so far, found an issue for you though.

    Your magma planet creation causes an error.
    In your magma-modified.surfacebiome and magma.surfacebiome files you have this:

    The embers weather type is actually named ember so your current value causes this error:

    After I fixed it and deleted the malformed .world file it loaded fine and I got to enjoy my ash snow and embers.

    I looked through your other .surfacebiomes and every other weather type is correct.

    Random. Ever consider adding in potion brewing? You have a billion crops as well as really everything for chemicals... seems like a natural fit. Could be potions and stims. :)

    Just a thought... as I'm sure you totally need more on the to-do list. ;)

    I think potions wold fit nicely like Utildayael said there is definitely enough chemicals and crops
