Say, a large number of the Bees! recipes seem to still missing from this mod. The decorative items, all the food, and the vast majority of the weapons and armor aren't showing up at the apiary crafting station. Neither my new character nor my established one has access to them.

am i able to use the bees part on my ship still? or am i going to be stuck useing them on a planet?

As far as I can tell, bees still function on ships.

However, I did find some bugs (as it were) with the bee stuff:

Exceptional Bees no longer produce Liquid Honey like they're supposed to, instead spitting out stacks and stacks of Perfectly Generic Items. Plus, Mosey and I did some file surfing and found that the recipe for the low-tier Amber Sword apparently now requires Amber Chunks. This is quite the progression dissonance, since the Amber Sword was mid-tier, but the item you're now requiring to make it (Liquid Honey) is actually quite high-tier in Bees!, since it requires Exceptional Bees which require Volcanic Bees which can only be found on high-tier volcanic planets. Thus, the amount of work required to obtain it is disproportionate to its actual use.

I got to the bottom of the exceptional bees producing PGI's. They're trying to make the item liquidhoney, which of course has been renamed to fu_liquidhoney.
Nothing a quick edit to the lua won't fix.

    Log 297:
I believe I may have won the galactic lottery, planet-wise. On landing onto a crystal moon, this was the sight that awaited me:

Further details have been reduced for optional reading.

From there, it only got better. The world had large deposits of healing water, rained organic soup, moderate deposits of black tar, and small puddles of sulfuric acid. When it rained organic soup, any that touched the acid twas converted into more of it, giving me large amounts to take. The enrichus surface was roughly a third of the surface area, and went to considerable depths:

Already ecstatic, with a small empire's worth of fuel, digging deeper found nearly a full half of the planets mid-crust had been eaten away at and weakened by some strange, corrosive dark fluid, leaving only strong ores and elements behind, and everything else a brittle and easy to dig shell.
    2015-09-12_00008.jpg
Continuing to explore, I found portions of the world the "Dark water" (as some sources seem to call it) had skipped, and were rich in ancient buried coral, shells, and rare ember coral!
    2015-09-13_00001.jpg
While the planet is too unstable to live on, it has a pleasant, forested neighbor, an ideal place to set up home. I may have to retire after this, as I doubt much will be able to outshine this in exploration, and piracy is pointless when I sit on this much wealth already. Perhaps I'll simply purchase that fancy Outpost...

...RP aside, this was one hell of a find, though does leave me wondering if this is a buggy world gen, a lucky gen, or intended?

Lucky gen. I had a similar experience, only to miss a jump off a high hill. 65 hours on hardcore gone and I didn't write down my base coords. SPLAT.

(and to the rest of you, I think Sayter is afk for a few days, so things will have to wait regarding bees, etc.)

Then you didn't rename the folder. Like it says just above the link in the overview page:
"(note that you MUST rename the folder after you extract it, to FrackinUniverse. Or it won't work)"

im not sure which mod is the one that adds shops to random places underground in the planets, but.. if its this one, then i'd like to submit a bug... it closes my game when i try to shop, if its not this mod, just ignore this

Add the log if you want to submit a bug, otherwise NOONE can help you in ANY way to figuring out the problem

Don't bother, since I don't add merchants underground it isnt a problem with this mod. But yes, normally, you should always submit an error log. The very first thing written on this mods main page tells you this, as well as exactly how to find it. A little reading won't hurt, dude.

As for the bees! thing, noted. I'll fix up that liquid honey problem.

And @Freezair, ALL of the honey deco and weapons are now made in the matter assembler rather than the bee station. This was broadcast on one of the update notes (which is why you should at least glance at update notes whenever I publish !) Therefore they don't influence bees! progression directly at all.

Amber Chunks are , also, not high tier. Hives appear from Tier 2 and onward). This means you can obtain all the necessary goods at that time, which is roughly when you get core fragments anyhow. Beyond those changes, nothing in terms of Bees! progression has been altered and remains as it was.

So the only real notable change you'll see is deco and weapons/armor being in the MA instead of the bee station.

Merchants underground are from the base game. I played vanilla for a few weeks before reloading mods after the last big update.

All in all, I like the bees addition, gives me something else to do when I get bored, or want to mess around with something different besides running laps on various planets.

Not quite, Sayter. See, to make amber chunks, you need liquid honey, and to make liquid honey, you need exceptional bees, and to make exceptional bees, you need adaptable bees, and to make adaptable bees...you need volcanic bees...

Which can only be harvested on volcanic planets, which you do, of course, need the heat protection implant to go to. The volcanic implant is your reward for beating the tier 5 boss, so volcanic bees are, de facto, tier 6. Bada-bing, bada-boom, transitive property, liquid honey is high-tier.

i put a drone, a queen and a frame in each input slot of my apiary and... NOTHING HAPPENS! what am i doing wrong?

You are missing the point here. You dont NEED to make the honey. You can find it quite simply in one of the bee subbiomes without any effort, and in mass quantities. Therefore you don't need exceptional OR adaptable bees. It's quite simple to get it in other ways. Furthermore, the bees themselves drop honey and other honey-themed loot when killed, making it even simpler to obtain. I left my very first Primeval world with that hive subbiome with over 2000 honey. I was wearing iron armor and an iron spear.

Just because the one way you KNOW still exists doesn't mean there are not alternate methods to obtain them.

Also, Volcanic sub-biomes appear with those bees within them as well, and long before you reach Volcanic tiered biomes late-game.

So again, there are other ways to get what you need :) Yes, it does rely on finding said subbiomes first...but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. It doesn't change the fact that I haven't altered bees progression much at all.[DOUBLEPOST=1442172716][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'm pretty sure you need to leave it in there for some time. They need time to mate and make babies. It doesn't happen instantly.

well, i havent played with Bees! content much. So, I really don't have any idea just yet. I didn't change any of the functionality in those scripts though. The only issue would be if there is an item name change causing an issue. I'd need an error log to see if its throwing up errors of any sort.

If not, I guess something else is up.

From what I have done with Bees. I set the apiary up, had flowers planted nearby, put the queen and drone in the apiary, and then just waited. Depending on the bees it may need to be daylight or night for them to do stuff. I started with forest so they had to have daytime to produce.

Are the mountainous worlds supposed to have dust storms vs snow storms?

Also, I'm getting a ton of bees and dinos, but probably shouldn't be seeing so many.
