    LIVE ON GITHUB

Pushed at 7am this morn. The Power Press needs testing, though seems okay thus far.

    - added numerous new resources(not all are in use yet):

    Strength Gene 3,

    Resistance Gene 3,

    Defense Gene 3,

    Blood Diamond

    Quietus Ore

    Quietus Bar

    Iron Plate

    Copper Plate

    AI Chip

    Densinium Plating

    Microchip

    - added new station: Power Press. If it can be stamped or mushed into a plate-like form then this is the station you want. The following materials are produced by it at present:

Advanced Alloy (Moved from Matter Assembler)

Carbon Plate (Moved from Matter Assembler)

    Copper Plate

Dense Alloy (Moved from Matter Assembler)

    Densinium Plating

Diamond Plating (Moved from Matter Assembler)

Penumbra Plating (Moved from Matter Assembler)

Proto Plating (Moved from Matter Assembler)

Advanced Plastic (Moved from Matter Assembler)

    Graphene (moved from Chemlab)

    Iron Plate

    Diamond (requires 100 coal)

    - new look for protocite bars

    - liquid slime now harvests as Slime rather than oil/tar.

    - luminescent paste removed from Chemlab. Instead, you can get it by extracting from glow fibres (which are pretty abundant anyhow). 20 will extract to 4 paste.

    - Moved Graphene Armor unlocks to Graphene. Not sure why they were on Carbon Plate.

    - simplified Molten Core recipe

    - added Crystal Swamp sub-biome

-added blood diamond and blood ore. How to make it? Well...that’s for you to discover on your own.

    - fixed erroneous recipe for armored snowpants. Plastic cost reduced to 6. No idea how that ended up at 20. Sorry about that.

If there were a Medical station in FU....what sort of stuff would you guys like to see on it (besides a few types of bandages or stims)

    Medigun, a la TF 2. :p

Or explosive heal grenades, you throw them in the air, they have a large arc so if you're fast enough you can run under them and get hit and heal with your own grenade, for shits and giggles.

Surgery Packs that auto-trigger if you're reduced to "critical" HP (say 15%-20%) instantly.

    A bio-waste transmuter turning bio-waste to a power source.

Medical field, a pylon that you can place somewhere and receive some regen when you're near it.
"Combat drugs", made from FU produce extracts. Longer duration, maybe with side effects.

I'm not at all convinced that moving Advanced Plastic to a different building is at all a good idea. Plastic is an important and basic recipe component, and it should be kept part of the basic manufacturing workshop.

For that matter, I'm not convinced that adding a new workshop at ALL is a good idea. I do admit that adding the "make plates of metal and such" reactions to it is nice, because it means that it has consistency (which helps it take up less brainspace), but it still means one more building take up a little more space.

Not a big issue. And that new station removes some recipes from the others, which is nice.

I'm not sold on the plastic being there yet (for the same reason you state, mosey) but the station itself works nicely for it's purpose. We'll have other additions in the next while, though I imagine any station after this will either serve an entirely new purpose, or be a non-essential (case in point, medical station).

Ultimately, I have no qualms removing the Power Press if it is widely disliked. It fills a niche, though , and wasn't added "just because". It's been on the to-do list for months.

Besides, it is a tiny station by FU standards.

This is pretty extensive. Many overhauls here, and you'll find a great many improved and vastly easier recipes.

    - several new electronic/computer related components have been added, and are worked in to the stations and numerous other recipes. As a result, you’ll now need more silicon. Which leads us to the next point...

    - silicon is now easier to get. Sand will now extract into silicon, rather than oil. This goes for both cascading sand and solid sand. Awww yisssssss!

    - adjusted the “rarity” property of most crafting resources to be more in-line with their actual tier/level of use. You’ll notice many changes in terms of your item border colors as a result.

    - to go with the above, most resources that are “uncommon” or higher have colored names to set them apart visually. It’s rather helpful, actually.

    - added several loot-only items that are useful for temporary (and in some cases very long-term) buffs:

    Ultra Stim

    Grav Stim

    Crunchy Chick

    Disposable Lightsource

    Portal Juice

    - added diamond shield

    - apex pod added to matter assembler crafting.

    - altered tier and damage of hardened steel blade and carbon blade

    - added upgrades to the Carbon Blade in the NanoFabricator. You’ll need to find the main materials that each uses in order to unlock them.

    - added numerous new resources(not all are in use yet):

    Strength Gene 3,

    Resistance Gene 3,

    Defense Gene 3,

    Blood Diamond

    Quietus Ore

    Quietus Bar

    Steel Plate

    Eridian Plate

    Titanium Plate

    Iron Plate

    Copper Plate

    AI Chip

    Densinium Plating

    Microchip

    Iron Plate

    - jiggled around some quest related stuff to work in the new process with lab creation a bit. Thankfully, most of the early Matter Assembler quests were already wire/circuit related so it was straightforward.

The actual progression for stations is now as follows: Matter Assembler, Extractor, Power Press/Biochem, Xeno lab, Design lab, Nano-Fabricator. Remember, the Sampling Array is no longer in use nor is the Cloning Lab. Bloat is down, organisation is up. Huzzah!

I've already tested the quests and had no issues at all.

If something doesn't appear yet, you have to finish a different quest first in order to open it up. There are a few that will "stump" you like that until you finish a preceding quest. Which questline are you referring to, specifically? And is this for the Github build, or the one here on the site?

I'd like to see a Medical Station that is equivalent to the Medical Potions mod, since that was useful and well made but hasn't been updated. Only, instead of having monsters drop yet another set of items to manage, "potions" (I would change the name to be more sciency, less fantasy) would employ FU plant ingredients. Also, you could expand the effects to cover FU-specific statuses, because that makes more sense than, say, getting heat protection from eating a fruit.

Also, I'd love to see a rapid healing station akin to that weird Apex torture table, or maybe in the form of a pod or tank, that would essentially insta-heal upon use. It's so annoying returning to one's ship or base and then having to wait several seconds (i.e., an eternity) for restored health in a bed or whatnot.

I think ideas stated above for healing weapons are also on point. They would open the opportunity for someone's character to play a medic role in multiplayer questing parties. (That is, if anyone uses FU on a server; in which case, holla atcha boy. I hate playing solo, but I needs mah mods.)

ill check out that medical potions mod

as for rapid healing: i added the new Medical Bed for that exact reason. Make one :)

    Hi sayter,

I would really like to see a long term healing and/or energy restore medicine, would be great if it required neuropod to produce because that plant was very difficult to make and not useful at all.

    Best regards!.
