    thats what i would have suggested to, best thing would propably be to just make the mininglaser 2 handed,as you dont really need something in the otherhand when using it, and just make the altfire a background mine

    but yeah i would agree only to add it when the majority wants it.

    But I like them one-handed. Then you can wield TWO of them and double your tile collection rate!

    however... I think you may have inadvertently created the solution.

    A two-handed version that kills front and rear blocks!

    i sorta forgot about this post of me, but i checked again and the protochest is indeed made of elderstone.
    i sadly cant screenshot it, because the ingredients not show in them, if you know how i can show you this, please tell me[DOUBLEPOST=1433787470][/DOUBLEPOST]

    I bet I know what's wrong. I'll have to check later to verify though. I won't bore you with the details since they don't matter anyhow.

    edit: confirmed. Proto chest is using the wrong material. Penumbra chest is perfectly fine.

    dont forget the stone chest, its also wrong i think its using darkstone


    and i need to get back to the electromagnetic shielding thing. I have tried everything. i build everything i have,even the nonsenical things like girders, so please tell me something, does it use moonstone?

    the stone chests are fine. Only the proto appears incorrect.

    and dude, the electromagnet is easy to unlock. Have you built a fission furnace yet? The thing that unlocks electromagnets is required to build it. You should have it unlocked in your matter assembler if you have constructed that material. So clearly you have not built "everything" :)

    no no no not electro magnets, no im talking about "Electromagnetic Shielding" whose item resembles a horseshoe magnet, thats what im missing.[DOUBLEPOST=1433792802][/DOUBLEPOST]oh and may i ask what the stone chest is supposed to use? what material, that is?

    Darkstone for the two stone chests is intended. They are dark stone chests, litteraly. :) And there are already vanilla stone chests recipes, and I didn't want to have any conflicts.

    I'll have to cehck when I get home. But magnetic shielding "should" unlock with the basic assembler. Assuming it is even used for anything , anymore. I am uncertain. I removed a few materials a long while back and that may have been one of them. I know it is not currently unlocking with Assembler creation. Give me a few to do a mod-wide check'



    edit: aaaaaah I see what happened. Sampling Array unlocks mag. shielding. Sampling Array is disabled/gone so you can't unlock it. I'll get that fixed up tonight! Likewise for the obsidian shards which also unlock through it.

    in the meantime, to get around the issue, do this

    /admin

    /spawnitem samplingarray

    /admin

    then delete the sampling array you just picked up.

    that does make sense, i admitt that but why are they light gray? wouldnt a darker coloring make more sense? as of now they look like well stone, but darkstone is said to be manifested and hardened darkness, maybe im overthinking it.

    oh and on the note of darkness how about a caves minibiome/structure thats just a dark lightless abyss, with items and enemies beeing the only thing visible, and you would enter it by falling down into it (unless you mine into ofcourse)[DOUBLEPOST=1433794914][/DOUBLEPOST]

    isnt pricilite (or something like that) supposed to be kinda rare? not densium levels but certainly rarer then moonstone and cinnabar right?
    cause ive been finding that stuff everywhere, in large vains even, moonstone and cinnabar on the other hand were kinda scarce.

    Dude. Seriously overthinking it. Again. Who cares? It's a damned chest. It has a recipe that uses some materials people have but rarely use for anything else. End discussion. I may swap it to blaststone or something like that, but it really doesn't matter either way. It could use puppy intestines and a bag full of cheap lube for all I care.

    Are you using the github version? If yes, it is a simple matter of modding the mod, make a copy of the chest image, darken it, replace file, repeat with every update. Have fun. Just like i said before, it's the small things that some people get picky about but are much easier to edit than messing with the code itself, and shouldn't even bother mentioning, because it'll either never be edited due to a complete discrepancy, or no one else cares about.

    You get a no, it's a no. You point out a problem, it'll be fixed. You suggest a balancing, it'll be checked and studied. Boils down to that. I'm not defending sayter, it's just that i've seen this for too long in all modding communities, people bragging about tiny things that they -could- do themselves.

    Oh, I meant no disrespect. Don't get me wrong. Nitpicking simply drives me insane when it's dealing with things that are non-issues in general. IE: the stone a simple chest is made with, compared to say, the broken unlock you mentioned earlier. One is an issue, one is not :)

    That said, I do agree that dark stone is not the right match for those chests. But I doubt almost anyone else would have noticed or remarked on it. So there you have it.

    i am not using the github version no. and im also extremly incompetent when attempting to edit files.
    and its not like i "demand" it be changed because i wouldnt be able to play with the mod otherwise, no that would be extremly stupid.
    and im thinking that i did nothing wrong here, i was simply discussing the mod, and asking the developer why this is like it is, could have been a simple oversight as with the proto chest, or as now clearly stated a case of "i dont really care that stuff has no other use, use it there" wich i am fine with, its just that i would like people to explain their decisions, so i might learn from them.
    and as i said i was doing just that wich this page is for Discussing the mod, and if there is anything bad abaut it then tell me so that i may confess my sin of asking the for reason behind something in church.

    its alright and i am sorry if i made you angry with something because of that, however i would not call it nitpicking per se, as this is still a discussion page and I thought i do just that about something that wondered me. i mean for all i knew back then there could have been a story behind why the chest is like that, and if there would have been i would have kicked myself for not knowing when i had the chance to ask.[DOUBLEPOST=1433802083][/DOUBLEPOST]found something again, this is a regular nitrogen sea planet, if its alredy a known issue, just tell me. 2015-06-09_00001.jpg [DOUBLEPOST=1433802395][/DOUBLEPOST]on the same planet i also found small pockets of infinite nitrogen, wich while usefull for well nitrogen make the underground a bit more dangerous than ts supposed to.
    well i atleast think so, might be deliberate.

    Nitrogen Seas are supposed to be rather dangerous and lethal, actually. So I could care less if the underground is dangerous :) That's the idea. And the nitrogen SHOULD be infinite. It's a nitrogen ocean, not a puddle like caves and surfaces typically use on non-oceanic worlds.

    Not sure what is up with that sea there though. Guess I need to take another peek at the subbiomes being used on nitrogen sea surfaces.

    yeah after thinking about it i came to the conclusion that yes a ocean schould have infinite pockets, and liquid nitrogen should be extremly dangerous.

    however the nitrogen might be not dangerous enough, as an example bio ooze in my current setup brings me down to half health (when quickly dipping in to get the debuff), Liquid Nitrogen on the other hand only takes out a quarter of my health (again as before), seeing that nitrogen can flashfreeze organic matter in no time at all, that seems a bit.....weak, personally i would more like it when the nitrogen works rather as a weaker version of lava, starting at maybe 10 damage and ramping up from there.

    I've adjusted nitrogen damage numerous times, and will likely do that more before I am totally satisfied with it's damage ratio.

    also wouldnt i be nice if dark water ACTUALLY turns blocks it touches into its curroption variants?
