I had to do online research to learn from Wikipedia how and what a certain chemical was made with.

Then later, I found a codex in game that told me about how I can turn mutavisk silk into thread... using glass, dna samples, and silk, which is an incorrect recipe that doesn't actually seem to do anything.

the quests flat-out tell you this as well:

i'll find and update that codex. But none the less, the quests tell you properly.

I played it for about 25 minutes and then said "fuck this". That level of difficulty is exactly the opposite of fun for me.[DOUBLEPOST=1426167503][/DOUBLEPOST]Whatever crazy loon said the extractor doesn't work with raw meats is high, or something.

I just checked the recipes. Raw bacon, raw poultry, raw tentacle, raw rib meat, raw ham, raw fish and raw fleshlump all have recipes currently in both extractors. FYI.

I'll have updated recipes in the coming update, equalizing the ratios of materials across the board for said meats. I see no reason why one meat should provide 7 and another provides 2, for instance. I'd rather have all of them reward the same (4)

 

pretty much all souls games are puzzle games/slow paced roguelikes at heart, you're going to die horribly and ragequit if you fall into the trap of playing it as a hack-and-slash.

 

Yea, I gathered that (to a point anyhow). I think my main gripe was "I've died 13 times in a tutorial? nope"

Killing you is how the game tells you that you're making a simple mistake. Fortunately, it also telegraphs the scary things that will kill you from a mile away, so all you really need to do is watch closely and accept that dying repeatedly isn't failure but a mode of learning.

Then you get gravelorded in Sen's Fortress.

 

Yes, but I am simply not interested in that kind of gameplay. Getting frustrated does me no good, at all. Much like how I can no longer play FPS games online because of the idiots that play them online. It's not enjoyable. I've got better things to do than listen to some seemingly inbred 13 year old call people "faggot niggers" in a crotch-kickingly high-piched pre-pubescent wail while blaring his shitty hip-hop music over his mic the entire game, forcing me to mute the entire lobby just to escape it. No thanks. Too old for that shit.

I'll stick to sandboxes and non-insane RPGs games, thanks.

 

Maybe it's just a bug on my end then; I checked the .recipe ils and it should show up for me; I found 20 Cinnabar Ore on my starting planet actualy while I was digging or my corefragments. Maybe the fact I found cinnabar ore before I even could build the alloy furnace somehow glitched it up for me. Meh; I'll just reinstall the files and delete my universe and Player folders (like I Always d with an update); it's not likeI haven't done that 5x already this week; keeps things interesting xD

 

I totally get you, it's an acquired taste if there ever was one. I think I've played roguelikes that were less bullshit than DeSo.

 

This is why I and others I know make a very specific point to troll the hell out of squeakers when we meet them online in GTA 5.

 

recipes typically don't fuck up like that though. Those tend to just sort of sort themselves out when changed since unlocked recipes are saved to the character. So long as you HAVE it, it will appear wherever it is unlocked.

it IS possible you think you updated and you didnt though, since the previous version DID have it in the wrong furnace.

 

So, do you have an ETA on the next update?

 

I did, but I just came home from work earlier than expected , vomiting my guts out and pooping brown water. So, I won't be up to much at the office today lol. I'll see if I can get it out today.
