yea, nothing I can do about that now, unfortunately.

Nasty side effect of quests as they are implemented in the base game right now. Sucks severe ass.

 

I keep running into different errors. Installing the older version worked up until I hailed SAIL to use the 3D printer - and the game punched itself in the face as it tried and failed to find the FU outpost mission that had been there before.

Just started a new character, no other way around it. I think your mod is worth it though; so many useful things are added.

 

Guess this gives me an excuse to finally make a new character. Current one was bugged anyway (couldn't unlock the wiring tool) so it was going to be inevitable.

At least now I can say I did it for science

 

Is energy restoration plants working as intended? Especialy end tier ones, there is just seems little to no effect when I eat one.

 

I know the feeling, Skittles. I went nomadic on hardcore and went to a high level world even in impervium and a mob got a lucky hit in just as I killed it. Mutually assured destruction! Heh.

I personally didn't notice much going on for them either. I used the built-in energyRegen stuff, too. I'll have to take a peek at that and see what it actually does. The values could be too low, or it might do something other than what we assume to be the obvious.


In fact, right now I am going to fuck with those plants and set absurdly high values...see what happens

I'm now crashing like a bastard every time I open the character. Also for the record, despite being told to extract vines or cheese, vines do NOT give tissue samples. I got nutrient paste instead...

EDIT: Just poked around a little and found that methanol.gearup is actually quest 6, not 5. I'm going to poke further and see which things are out of order beyond this one, if any.

So, was removing moons from FU systems intentional? Or are you planning to fix that?

 

Alright, I've got an issue. For some reason my character is stuck on the Free as a Bird quest for some reason, even though I've completed all the ones after that (I've basically completed all the existing content and have a fully upgraded ship).

As a result, the quest to start FU won't pop up when I visit the Outpost. Is there any way to force Free as a Bird to the completed state or to force the first FU quest in the line to start? Thanks in advance.

 

^^^This is important to me too....I plan to use custom ships so no ship upgrades for me at all....please don't tie the FU quest-line to the ugly ships and their progression.

 

Just throwing in my two cents... I use the MadTulip ship mod and have had no issues obtaining the quests. You will actually need to get the licenses from Penguin Bay if you plan on completing the outpost quests anyways. So far as being stuck on Free As A Bird, I'm looking into how to complete the quests through the console right now actually. After having to wipe my quest database I'm I little peeved at going through everything over again. I spawned most of the items in as needed to power through, and had no issues with the first quest. If anyone knows the command to mark a quest completed, please chime in.
