Characters wear nanosuits, now. Just wear the radiation suit and you'll be fine.

 

Right now the Irradium suit is pretty basic. It provides armor, energy boost and one of the pieces provides some health regen.

Any thoughts on what else it could do?

 

Radioactive AOE at a distance, a la charged staff. Small "circle of bad"... most raiders can't stay out of anything glowing or in circles, why should mobs be any different

 

Slight glow? Maybe a trail similar to the 'fire' trail that the speed boost gives only blue (like you're leaving a trail of radiation behind you)

 

slight jump boost maybe? there aren't a lot of items that do that. even with the techs, would still be nice to have an increase to jump height.

 

Excuse me, nanoaugmentation technology is not worn ok

 

I'm playing as a talking plant person I'll do whatever I want with nanoaugmentation technology thank you very much. I'll wear it on my foot if I want to. You can't stop me, I'm an adult.

Jump boost. Not a bad idea actually.

I'm going to be putting in several new armors and such in the near future with some more varied abilities. I'd like to sort of do this in-line with the three different armor "types" that exist in vanilla now. So some wil be for melee,others for ranged,etc.

 

New armor, new weapons, and new/resurrected biomes. You're seriously trying to go for top mod of Starbound, aren't you?

Way beyond that.
We have great projects for this mod. You're not seeing half of the content that will be in the release version.

 

Our to-do list is a bit insane at this point. Honestly. I'm too much of a pussy to take the axe to any of it, because so many are such good ideas!

 

Between cherry picking VITSOTU biomes to salvage, updating to the new mod API, and keeping up with the game, nevermind any of your own surprises you haven't mentioned yet, I don't envy your workload, man. But I'm glad you're still going at it. Keep it up and don't ever stop being awesome, Sayter. You too, Inny.

As I think someone may have pointed out before but I don't remember, the mod crashed on the new update, from something having to do with swampdirt

 

No it doesn't. If you delete the old version TOTALLY and install a FRESH install of FrackinUniverse, it works fine. "swampdirt" no longer exists in any form in the mod, period. it now uses swampdirtff and causes no conflict. This was answered on the previous page. And the page before that, if I recall.
