RELEASED FrackinUniverse (Archive)

I checked around 10 Penumbra Planets, then erased the universe Folder, then i found very little on the 5th Penumbra planet and then on the 6th planet there was nothing but Penumbrite everywhere

I got a little problem with the "irradium." Before i deleted the Universe i checked many, many irradiated worlds, and now with the new universe, even more, but i don't see or find "any" irradium anywhere.

Blame the random generator used by the game. It's more like all or nothing than a mix.

 

Irradium has an even higher percentage chance to occur than penumbrite. It works just fine. Keep looking.

 

You have to dig DEEP for the good stuff, especially now. Even vanilla ores require a lot of digging now. Just keep going down til you see the glow.

 

^ this. You are not going to find much near the surface, at all. I did this intentionally, copying the CF values for surface ores.

However, I may increase the chances slightly because it seems people are not as keen on digging as I thought.

Upside: you can upgrade your Mining Guns and speed this up substantially. Or just get a particle cannon ,if you don't want to keep the blocks you explodify. Yes, explodify is a word now. Don't argue.

 

And there is always going /admin and spawning a bazillion plasma grenades if you're THAT impatient. But honestly, the fully upgraded matter manipulator has almost always been good enough for me, so long as I'm not dealing with anything on the level of blaststone/obsidian/magmarock.

 

Trying to remember the planet type, but i was finding a lot of titanium and Cinnabar(?) on the surface, was kinda surprised.

A couple do offer a decent spread near the surface. Especially if staying on them for more than about 3 minutes is extremely lethal Cinnabar is limited to a select few biomes so that narrows it down Sulphuric?

Yeah, it was sulphuric, i think i dropped in for the cinnibar, surface wasn't too bad, not like the irradiated one that had me take my headset off due to the 1 point constant damage, lol, even worse when the acid rain started to come down!

 

You MIGHT find them. You aren't meant to. Make one.

And please, stop asking me how to get every single item in the mod. Explore and figure it out! That's the whole point!

Heh sulphuric hasn't had it's environment effect added yet. Give it time.

 

So apparently Starbound updated sometime last night and now Frackin Universe is crashing me when I try to start the game...
Something about swampdirt...

 

did you update FrackinUniverse? Might want to do that.

delete old copy of FrackinUniverse

install new one. Try to play.

if it still happens, i could release the next release a bit earlier than intended. it has a fix.

 

Yeah, I thought maybe re-downloading it would fix it, but that didn't work. Keep getting the same error. :/

I didn't delete the original FrackinUniverse folder before extracting the new one... ._.

wait... you shoudln't have "swampdirt" in your FF files at all, dude. It was removed a few releases ago. Only swampdirtff remains now.

You need to DELETE the old version before installing the new.

why yes, that IS an irradium suit and rifle. not sold on the final design yet, but it'll do for now so you guys can actually do something with the material.
