Yes, 99% of all mods were moved into the outdated section due to not being updated for Upbeat Giraffe and as part of that process the featured mods list was erased completely.....just now they are remaking it.

Let us have a moment of silence in memory of all the great mods that passed away recently.

They aren't dead. They're just unconscious, sadly. Doesn't help that their threads are hidden from sight.

 

Odd. I will keep my eye out for it again, it seems to happen mainly on planets where the leaves are blowing and big balls of acid rain from the sky, sometimes when the rain starts, sometimes when it stops.

 

Regarding the gas giants, I had some spare time today to mess with the planet generation and teleporting. It seems the teleporter doesn't ever send you into the void parts of a planet (for example, in an asteroid field, you always land in an asteroid, you never fall to your death instantly after teleporting). That means you can create a mostly empty planet, with a cool cloudy parallax background, with a single dungeon, and the teleporter *should* land you in that dungeon.

In theory...

 

What would be the best chances to find it now? with all these many underground biomes?

 

Who knows. I'll have a fix ready tonight. We have a bunch of new stuff. New biome, recipe adjustments, fixes , some rew resources and so on

 

i tryed looking for the wasteland biome for like an hour yesterday
is it broken?

I'm beginning to wonder how far FU will end up going, being the work of only one... Floran? Apex? I dunno. Heh. Devoted work though, better than half the indie dev companies out there.

 

I'm not the only one anymore. It just got a whole lot better.

I don't know a thing about programming. Learning to microdungeon tempts me just a little, but not right now.

It's not star-specific. Just look further away in the starmap.

 

Honestly. People need to stop asking where to find things and just look. Nothing is any more rare than anything else at present. It is literally random chance. Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not.

 

Noticed a strange issue that only started happening when I updated Frackin' Universe to the latest version - when I warp down to my starting planet, moving to either side reveals that the world hasn't loaded, and I can't interact with anything. Since I can't get off the starter planet I don't know if it happens anywhere else.

I'm not. People just keep posting the same questions about stuff It gets tiring to answer them repeatedly. No harshness intended.

its a rendering bug that seems to happen at random. If there isn't much on your starter world of interest just nuke your universe and start from scratch That, or try warping to ship, warping back to planet and see if it's magically fixed. that happens sometimes too.
