The game is not fully optimized yet. Give it time.

Whoever said I said everyone can afford good computers? (though honestly, anyone who can afford to buy games for leisure can afford a good computer, it's just a matter of saving up money over time, though it would take a long time to do so - when buying a decent computer, generally will last you 2+ years before needing a new one - enough time to save up for yet another new computer).

I gave an answer how to "turn the rain off", and gave a rhetorical statement, get over yourself :) - don't like it? too bad.

as for the guy saying "white-knighting", if you think that's rude - you must really have a dull life. Welcome to the internet.

No the main problem is you just don't care about how you come across to people. You have been here for a long time and think that is a pass to be rude that along with knee-jerk comments about alienware being crapware. its not, its just expensive admittedly you pay a premium for a cool looking system and the ability to add features you cant normally get on make it yourself PCs.

Someone sticks up to a cyberbully and you cant stand it which is kinda sad so if you cant stand for people sticking up for themselves and other people i suggest you get used to the interwebs and grow a thicker skin, or you know maby... stop bullying people just because you can hide behind a screen.

I love your whining kid :) whine more for me, please do.

And people going on about bullying roflmao, it's been around since the dawn of time, and it'll be around at the end of time. Get over it.
And saying "get a new comp" isn't bullying, kids these days "everything is bullying!" lul.

Have a great computer, the game gets frame drops in machines way out classing it's requirements.

My laptop plays the game with no problems, but when running it on my main computer it gets a lot of slow down in animated areas.

I'm sure a lot of this will clear out later as they tweak the game.

That they will, and it will be far more optimized :)
People should expect it, which is also why I gave a answer as well for the rain, they specifically had problems with rain, well there's how you can "turn it off" (not really off, but remove it from appearing on the screen and taking up memory in the first place).

What program do you use to edit the file, I don't have anything to open and edit the rain.weather file?

Use notepad++, you can use normal notepad, but it isn't sorted out and can be difficult to read.
just google notepad++ and you'll find it easily, or just use notepad if you want to try and read it that way, but as i said it's messy if you're not using notepad++ (notepad++ is a programmer-based notepad, far easier to use with more advanced features that are simple)

or you can get it on sourceforge (opensource software) via http://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-plus/
if you don't want to google it...

I also get a enourmus fps drop when I'm in a village/penal colony. It's funny because the game runs at 30 fps+ everywhere else. I have also noticed that jumping in Singleplayer drops my fps but if I go on my friend's server there is no fps drop when I jump.

This is out there but how many are using an intel chip in their pc?
My friend used an Intel based processor and lags in rain i however use AMD and im fine
maybe thats the problem is rain dont like intel right now
but of course either way it need optimized

Nope, it's not a problem with intel, i've tested both intel and amd chipsets (cpus and gpus of both brands) ;p

The worst lag I've seen so far was when I died during the Erchius Mining Facility mission and then teleported back there. It took around 30 seconds before the FPS got back to normal.
