Outdated Foxx's Farmables V 2.0 Upbeat Giraffe

This part scares me. Which flowers/mushrooms aren't working? Is it a vanilla bug you intend to fix, or is it a bug caused by this mod? Thanks!

 

There's no bug, I noticed that mushrooms and the three flower types (Red Blue Yellow) all have growth stages and seed graphics, but arent used. I'm gonna poke in the code and see if I can get those harvestable as well.

 

Pretty sure they are placeholders. The icons for the flower seeds are the grape seed icon and the mushroom spore is just a mushroom. It's likely that in the future they are supposed to drop from harvesting wild flowers and mushrooms, but haven't been implemented yet.

Beta game, after all.

 

Thats what I assume as well, chances are they will get to it before I do

 

Will you be speeding up any other crops? IIRC, the Beakseed takes a pretty long time to grow as well.

 

I may tweak beakseed and pineapple, but I havent because they do grow, they may take a while, but they do grow after a while, I just tackled the ones that didnt after a day long play session

 

Is it Offended Koala's mod feature friendly?

 

It does not use the mod folder, nor does it edit the bootstrap.cofig file. Should be easy enough to install though, just remember to make a backup up the folders it replaces just in case.

Thank you CaptainFoxx, I too felt plants took to long to grow. Would this affect multiplayer servers as well?

 

A friend of mine was testing mods and multiplayer, turns out mods work on multiplayer, serverside, even if the clients dont have the mods themselves. Its a dangerous thing that the Devs need to take a look at, but I would assume it does work for multiplayer.
I cant get the server software to run myself so I cant tell.

Got your mod to work by editing some files and sticking it in the mods folder. I prefer to not edit core game files.

Say, any chance of a compilation of this and your other mod? Just to take up less folder space, that is.

Also, do you have any ideas/plans for other things to fix?

If not, are you open to ideas?

 

Folder space? they dont take up that much space to begin with, so there's little point to doing so.

if you look at my future plans section you'd know what I'm trying to work on for the next major version, but its slow going.

 

The folder space thing is so that it's one folder for both, that's mostly a convenience idea, though.
As for the future plans, I meant once the ones you're already working on are done with.

No point in using both. Crops already grow fast enough with farmables.

 

technically yeah there is. Jte causes them to always grow removes the proximity limitation.
