Found Matter Block.

Some people said that matter block is not yet in game. Found some in a strange glitch pyramid.

 

Maybe you should craft some armor out of them, upload it to tinypic and post it in this thread.
The guys over at the Wiki might use the pictures.

Was probably put in this patch, and probably has to do with the Tier after X.

 

I thought it was used for Tier 2 armor?

i also found some in a nuclear reactor....there was a strange device,and when i clicked on it,it exploded.
it almost killed me,but it gave me 15 matter block

Nope, hes talking about matter block. Which is used to make those two random helmets, space and mining if I remember correctly.

 

I also got 10 from a reactor inside a hi-tech dungeon on my starter world. The reactor blew me up, but when I respawned I had 4 new (tier 2) weapons in my inventory and the reactor had spread purple matter blocks across the ground.

When I picked up the matter blocks it said "new recipes are available" but the crafting table, anvil, and spinning wheel had nothing. Must be for a device I dont have yet.

I tried to pick up the reactor with my matter manipulator but it just despawned.

 

Yeah, happened to me as well. I didn't know what that device was doing. It exploded and I died. Then I went back and mines some matter block. I wasn't prepared so I caouldn't take any pic of it Maybe next time if I run in some more, I'll do it (if somebody else doesn't do it).

Just wondering, but are you saying you were able to collect resources *after* you died and respawned, as in, the resource stayed on the ground? I didn't see anything in the patch notes about the longevity of items on the ground/dropped being extended/fixed. Before, the longest they stayed around was only a few moments.

If the time wasn't extended, I wonder if it's just this resource.

Matter block becomes a "terrain" the wierd machine that blows up (and killed me) explodes that stuff and you have to recover it with a pick.

 

They were added in the recent update.

with the anvil made from killing the UFO you can craft the makeshift armor set. Requires 12 MB for chest 7 for legs 5 for helm. For makeshift its pretty freaking strong. Chest is 85hp 36 armor. I got 10 matter blocks from my reactor so it would take some searching to make a full set.

 

Same for me Got 10 MB, searching like a desperate for some more MB!

 

For anyone who gets killed by the MB generator, stand back as far as you can while clicking on it to take minimal damage.

 

Is the Makeshift Armor you can make using matter blocks the best armor you can get until you get to sector X? Right now, the Quail armor I can make looks pretty useless.
