FOSSILS: What you'd like to see?

  1. Yay, fossils!:DD

But anyway, what exact kinds of fossils there will be?
Now we will review some examples, mostly based on Terran extinct organisms (but keep in mind that extraterrestrial life could be not exactly the same or even completely different;)).

Also feel free to post what you would like to see in game!

    Let's start!
(Warning: Following text may contain SCIENCE)

I'm going to review only animal organisms, big enough to be trophy or pet/mount (once revived). So there's a lot of extinct species. From the most ancient/primitive ones:

  2. This Thread says it all.

Some Fossils references would not be bad as finding "Internet Explorer Icon as a fossil", it fits, or not, ahah.
    Nice Thread.

Look, all I want to see is a ****ing beast ass T-Rex.

You know, that's not a half bad idea, having ancient technology as fossils. Pretty goofy/unrealistic, but it'd be fun to find an old buried iPad or laptop or something.

Because we really need more Terraria references
That said, it's a better idea than some of the ridiculous Terraria cameos out there.

There is that one planet with the giant bone serpent in the far background. Eater of Worlds taking it's place would be an easy replace. I wouldn't be surprised if there were references. I mean, I've not heard that Tiy hates Terraria now. Wouldn't be surprised in the least if he stuck in a cameo or two about the universe, just as a "Yeah, I did that too."

Edit: Forgot to actually post my on-topic thing. :V I was gonna say that Fossils are probably the stretch goal that most excites me. Races and pets are all well and good, but I love collectible things. My museum/zoo planet's gonna be full of fossils, and if I get to make my own Jurassic Park, I will be a very happy little collector.

Maybe a ancient prototype Glitch? There were other experiments using robotic society, if I remember correctly.
Also, plant fossils, don't forget them.
