Closed FormatException: Invalid format string 'Inventory Slot %s at %a'...

    I don't know what is causing this error. If I could find out what specifically is causing it I might be able to find a solution. Perhaps it's a mod, or maybe something triggered for one of their updates.

    This is a character I last played around February. This was after the character wipe but before the universe wipe. I have backed up all my characters so I'm not worried about losing those saves but at the same time I can't continue due to this error.

    Previously I played this character on a server my community was running. The following mods were in use at the time:

    • ArcaneAddOns (Adds magic.)
    • Colonies (Although this was removed because it wasn't worth keeping it at the time.)
    • Devourer (Floran ship mod.)
    • DyeMod (I read the topic on this one and I know it does not cause corrupted saves.)
    • Lightdrones (Adds utility drones to your backpack slot that are craftable.)
    • MMNgun (Adds guns and the ability to craft them.) - Where did this mod go?? It was in the mods section just days ago...
    • PrintingPress (Adds ability to make custom text signs. Was since removed as it is not compatible with current game version.)
    • Prophet (Avian ship mod.)
    • StarBooze (Adds craftable alcoholic drinks and crops.)
    • Stimlab (Adds craftable syringes in a tiered system. No longer in use as loading this specific mod results in an error which I posted here.)

    I am trying to load into our dedicated server using the same mods as when it was taken offline. However, I'm limited to the ones that work in the current version.

    I know that most of these mods should not, do not, cause save game corruption but instead all associated mod objects turn into "generic items." I am fine with that.

    It sucks to have a max level character (gear and tech wise that is) and not be able to play it. Sure..it's safe sitting in its backup folder but rather useless otherwise.

    P.S. - I'm going to be toning down the mods we use in the future until this game reaches a more 'final' release state.

    Problem solved. It was Stimlab. Kinda lame. Most mods have their items turn into "perfectly generic item" when a mod is removed instead of just preventing your save from working. I was able to delete the Stimlab items from my inventory and elsewhere in single player and then remove the mod. All the mods we use now should not cause that same problem.

    @zizizink Please check what mods are removed, install this mods new and follow the steps @Sern already posted.
