Does anybody else hate the forest lake? I have honestly caught more garbage in that lake than I have in all other bodies of water combined. I would have thought the forest lake and mountain lake to be near identical in catch percentages (if not the exact same fishes) but nope. Algae, algae, broken glasses, algae. Hate the forest lake. Damn.
In my first playthrough the first time I went fishing was when Jody asked for a Largemough Bass saying I could catch one in lakes. And so I went fishing in the forest lake. I never hated fishing so much before that.
I pretty much came to the conclusion that HAD to be on purpose with how bad it was, something meant to be slightly better than the 'normal'/vanilla farm but not by much. Now I think I read every farm can give a tiny amount of fish catching now so...IDK...
If you mean the river down in the forest, it has a nice assortment of fish depending on time of day and season. If you mean the lake--the body of water outside the mines--then the same conditions are true, plus there's a chance of catching The Legend. Personally, I prefer the ocean, but each to their own.
No, I mean the lake in the forest. The big body of water in the middle of the area, with the pier and everything? Ya, it's full of garbage.
I've gotten some decent fish in evenings, during the winter. But overall, I don't think it has the variety of the other areas. Perhaps to make up for its easy proximity to your farm.
I think I catch 1 fish out of 20+ catches though, I'm serious. It's... Beyond not worth messing with with what the RNG does to me at least.
Careful the shane lover's will come and steal your crops in the middle of the night Actually the forest lake is great if you have recycler's... What can I say Royal Oak Farms is Carbon Neutral
It does seem to have a greater share of dead glasses, newspaper, etc. I have to wonder if it's being used as a dumping ground. On the bright side: more refined quartz, and seawood and algae for prepared foods. For any maki sushi lover, that's great.
