Sorry about being rude. I've been a little grumpy since my stable starbound stopped working. So my apologies to all those people who feel I was rude. . And to the player LoPhatKao, What you said about the ship license forger makes sense. I guess I didn't realize that because I've only used it with /admin on. Thx for letting me know.

 

Well, you could atleast change your reviews.

 

You should delete your reviews, I would be pretty upset too if you came along and rated my hours of work 1 star without adressing the issue on the discussion section. Because now when people are looking through the mods people will see the 1 star and be deterred from downloading, or even looking at, someone elses hard work.

Report it to a moderator. They can remove mod ratings.

no, not maybe. Do it. Don't continue to be rude and leave crappy reviews you should never have made in the first place.

Sorry, but as a mod author this happens far too much. The review section is not for things you WANT in a mod, nor for using to get your anger out. Report bugs in the discussion section for the mod. If the mod flat out does not work, then the review is justified. If it works 99%, but doesn't do something you want it to (even though it isn't supposed to do the thing you want it to in the first place) do not rate it 2 or 3 stars. Ever. Rate it 4 or 5 stars and ask the author about the feature you think would be cool if it was added.

There is no excuse for this bad review behavior, no matter how you slice it. My entire month has been a gigantic ball of stress. I don't go around pissing all over peoples hard work because of it. Your game doesnt work...and that makes it okay to be a !@@#$% to others? Wrong.

Talk to the staff, get those reviews removed. End rant.

 

yah. . .I'm still getting used to the rating situation though. I'm used to rating something where updates that fix problems take 2months to come in, that and I still am getting used to the fact that I can post forum comments instead of reviews. . .I do have one mod and I do have a negative review. . .I guess it makes sense now. . .

 

Sorry to say, but that is still no goddamned excuse for being a douchebag. You can't possibly be that stupid, and likely know exactly what one-star means since movies, books , tv shows, cars and just about everything else on earth is rated with a 5-star system these days. Don't downplay it like you don't. End discussion on that point.

You had no business rating any mods the way you did no matter how you try to explain it. Sorry, but there is nothing you can say to change peoples opinion on that. I've reported people for shitty reviews more than once for this exact reason (when it wasn't justified). I have no qualms with a 3-star review. 2-star or lower means the mod is a piece of trash/ripoff or doesn't work at all. Anything beyond that should at least get 3 stars, minimum, because regardless of how a sprite looks or something operates that person put at LEAST a couple hours work in...for free...so that you could enjoy it.

How do you think a new author feels...it's their first mod ever and some asshat barges in and gives them a 1-star for literally no reason other than "Waaaah waaaaah my starbound doesn't work so im going to take it out on everyone else that isn't me because I'm a brat!". That person now thinks their own work is crap, and it's your fault...not theirs.

Fix your mistake. And rather than make a blanket post here in the forums, perhaps apologize to them individually, directly, via private message.

Long story short: If you want respect in the community, you need to show respect for others. The minute you don't, we have 0 reason to treat you with any decency beyond calling you on your crap. If you own up to your mistakes and correct them...all is well and forgiven. It's simple, right?

I'd like to believe that you are sincerely sorry about being rude but judging by your one word replies I'm doubtful. I also feel that feedback like this ^ should be in discussion instead. Maybe to you my mod didn't make very much sense but I didn't intentionally make them futuristic, I made them out of different tiered ores, perhaps the particular Glitch built them to keep them company. Glitch are supposed to have 18 hundred's mindsets but have space ships?

I was actually really upset when you left that review with 1 star. As someone mentioned above we put hours of work into our mods. Reviews are meant to be for people to review the mod and how it works in itself, I think. If you are really sorry you would also personally reach out to everyone you were rude to and apologize to them because I'm sure not everyone will be reading the forums and find this apology you have made.

Furthermore I think that you being grumpy because your starbound isn't working is an immature excuse for being rude to people and giving them bad reviews on their mods. You should think before you post, not only can data not be permanently deleted but people will also not forget how you treated them.

 

I feel like this is turning into a public shaming thread.

Regardless of what the OP did or how he reacted and whatnot, this thread really isn't helping anyone by being here.
