Closed Flying your own ship from someone else's

This is something my friends and I discovered today. I can't think of a good way to describe it, so I'll just give you a kind of timeline.

• My friend jumped into the pilot seat of his ship.
• I also got into the pilot seat of his ship. For some reason, two people can be in it at once.
• Since he didn't know where we were going, I selected the planet to go to and clicked fly. Nothing happened to my friend's ship's position, but I noticed the fuel required to get to that planet had disappeared even though we hadn't gone there.
• We assumed there was some kind of bug with his ship, so we decided to use mine. As soon as we all beamed onto my ship, it started landing at the destination I had chosen on my friend's ship.
• I checked the fuel and noted that none of my fuel was missing.

Essentially, I flew my ship from my friends, and used his fuel to power my ship.
I highly doubt this is intended, and could so easily be abused.

 

We all know by now.

 

At the very least, now I know people know about it.
