Flying enemies shouldn't exist in airless biomes

    Do I need to talk science? I can talk science. I can link you to instructional videos. But the basics it comes down to is this:

    Wings work by exploiting air pressure differentials and by moving air beneath the animal to create lift. In moon and asteroid biomes, there should be no air to move, therefore flapping wings would do jack.

    Beta being beta, I would like to see unique enemies in moon biomes. Maybe with natural rockets or solar sails. Or hell, just make all the mobs robotic. That would be rad.

    But please. Stop making me be attacked by flying bats in a vacuum.

    Fully agreed. Seeing birds in asteroid fields is lulzy.

    The Funniest part about asteroid fields are the random mobs falling like rain xD. Then they one shot you because Impervium sucks vs op dmg scaling ;-;

    I have impervium, nothing one shots me.. are you sure you're even wearing it?

    I mean, I had to put Rubium armor on just to make the game challenging again... They'd do more damage to you if they applied your lipstick using pool noodles.

    Yea I'm wearing them, those stats are 500. Unless its bugged and using my outer/aesthetic armour pieces as protection. -.-

    They're able to fly because of the solar wind, of course. Okay, okay, just kidding...

    I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread.

    Also, I agree with the OP. There are a lot of little tweaks like this that will make the game far more realistic (for example, why can I land on a snow biome planet, and find lava on the surface?!)

    The unfunniest part is mobs falling to the "bottom" of the asteroid field, sitting in space. Of course, trying to go there yourself causes instant death :eek:

    but they live in an atmosphere inside of the asteroid. fucking space bats basically. theres no reason shit should be flying around on top of an asteroid field it kills the immersion "wtf, dammit why here, i came to these rocks to get away from you bitches"

    Fair point! xD

    There's lots of space sci-fi featuring creatures flying through space, with varying explanations. The mutalisk in Starcraft are said to propel themselves using gas, for one thing, with their flapping as a leftover instinct from their terrestrial travels. Other forms of space flight could mean telekinesis, robotic implants, or what have you.

    While I agree that flapping in space is anomalous, I'm not sure about removing a major enemy type from the specific biome.

    I agree. If they were in a vaccum then it would be impossible for them to fly, or even survive.

    if i was a dev and saw this post i would troll you all by putting little jet flames that come out of the mobs ass.
