Flyable Dropship/Mech Transport.

this is an absolutely great idea and i would really love to fly with it or just sit in there to shoot at monsters while a friend is hovering across the surface! but don't forget to make the fuel and ammo (if it will have guns or rockets/bombs) for it rather expensive and difficult to craft because it would just be overpowered if some could use this as much as they like

true but that was in reference from information from almost a year ago before we knew the space station concept had been scrapped

Yeah I made this topic forever ago, but the link was a clip from the Clone Wars where the LAAT dropships drop off the AT-TEs during the battle of Geonisis. Probably the coolest part of that whole movie.

We could also carry large shipments of things maybe from quests and use them to do research? Like parts from a certain tech or weapon.

 

Clan/Corporation Raids can be carried out even epically-er. By flying down in one of these landing on the heli-pad or right above the base or campsite (whatever they're using) and your clan/corp members just pouring out of it. Yeah... it'd be nice.

 

It would act like a giant chest to store stuff in including mechs.

I'd like this option, for balance I think upgrading to a higher tier ship would make sense. Also I'm curious if it's possible to include the option of landing the "main" ship. landing planetside would be an exciting idea, or a low orbit with a tether to go by.
