Florans race thread :)

Why am I a floran? So I can look fabulous as hell while also eating anything that moves and keeping a great figure.

Gentlemen, you look interested in buying a C02 anti-floran laser gun, or a Ymir Heat Absorber. Seem like you would also be interested in my latest product: the Rubidium Laser Machete. I will just leave one of each on the ground here. Oh, and ignore the sudden void in your pockets.

 

It seems to me the Florans should be able to go longer without eating then the mamalian races.
Perhaps pluses and minuses for each race are too advanced for this game, but if the developers do put them in the Florians should have greater resistance to cold and be able to not eat for days...

There will not be racial bonuses, only crafting changes, it's already confirmed.

On another note, I'm still having trouble deciding between Floran, Hylotl, and Glitch. You guys are kind of biased, but which do you think suits my ideal character's personality? I want a character that's calm and intellectual on the surface, becomes a murderous tactical genius under pressure, but is bad at pretty much anything not related to philosophy, reading, or killing people.

 

my floran doesnt like eating people, instead wants to become a apart of society and try and fix how his race looks upon the universe

 

Eh, that's good for one aspect of your character, but you might want to add in some more details if you really want to get into detail. Some notable personality traits, likes and dislikes, relationships with members of your crew, etc.

Basically what im saying is you shouldn't pick a race on how they are preseived to act. I see the florans as misunderstood, and they are only canabalistic because a dead corpse is wasted food that could feed them. Also, eating their loved ones after death is seen has they will allways be apart of them if they devour them. Therefor, humans and other races see the flroans as monsters and evil. My floran is done with that bullshit, and wants to show the universe other wise by becoming one of the most civilized exploreres. Currently, My floran has no crew, but a fellow avian might be interested and a fellow floran might join his quest too.

Basically, He wants to show that the florans arnt as evil as they seam.

 

I don't understand why all you organics want to eat one another can you work out your problems without using knifes and forks ?

 

the florans are very primitive there still in the cannabalistic stage of there devolopment, so i am assuming you havnt met very many farther along organic race

 

One tends not to want to look for races that eat sentient life so I tend to explore from a distance.
