Floran respawn animation

Anyways. My opinion. I like the respawn animations, they're cool and everything, but they seem too long to me. Respawning shouldn't take that long imo. Are the animations skippable? I mean, feel free to argue my point, but I don't wanna watch an animation every time I die. And I die a lot. >.<

 

Next respawn animations:

• Robots: begin as a rubix cube and as it shifts sides and as more squares appear, it grows tall and wide and becomes a robot.
• Hylotl: A tadpole turns into a newt turns into a frog turns into a bigger frog on its hind legs which turns into a hylotl (an evolution spoof).
• Apex: A chamber containing a monkey lights up, shakes and fizzles then an apex steps out.
• Novakid: Their face sign appears and colored gas swirls around it until it forms your novakid.

Sounds pretty accurate right!!?? I hope they're the same or better than mine!

 

The Floran looks like something from a hentai.
The human looks kinda awesome.
The bird race ( pfff i don't know dem names! ) looks retarded as fuck and i love it.

I think it might be a mistake to call the human respawn animation cloning. It's sci-fi, so there could be plenty of excuses for a continued steam of consciousness in a new body. Although, I guess that isn't necessarily not cloning?

Well, whatever. I'm perfectly happy with all of them, although I think I enjoy the human one the most. The teleporting hair is probably used so they don't have to make a new animation for every hairstyle growing. That would be a pain.

Florans are just so hardcore that they're born standing.

 

Reminds me of the Asgard race in Stargate. An advanced race of aliens whom create backups of their mental states to be downloaded into a new flesh clone of them should their body be destroyed. A sort of immortality. Of course, every new clone was increasingly flawed in miniscule ways, condemning them to a fate of slow degradation.

the human respawn looked like the fifth element to me

 

The Human one kinda reminds me of the scene in the 5th element where they remake the girl...

 

Is it just me or do humans re-spawn in the pod that master chief first gets out of in halo 1...

 

My opinion: I feel like the Avian egg should be larger, more like an ostrich egg, and the animation should be more dramatic.

To the Avian players: do you like the Avian respawn animation as much as the Human and Floran? More so? Less?

 

Floran one is extremely cool.

 

I'm not strictly Avian, but it's not on par. It's a chick going peep peep then suddenly a full grown avian. The other two are much more dramatic and cool in their own way. I stated earlier in the thread what I would prefer, but it bears repeating.

Give us a falling feather which is then struck by lightning. At which point we see the outline of an avian arms outstretched with wings which then break away. The outline moves to the standard pose and then the color fills in to reveal the Avian. That, to me, would be on par.

 

Another reason why I'll be an Avian: The respawn animation involves a baby ducky

The Floran respawn animation looks really neat, I really like it.

 

My opinion:
Florans have THE best respawn animation currently. Come on, that looks freaking awesome.
Humans... they're okay. Not nearly as cool as the Florans, but still, pretty cool.
Avians. Hope that one was a joke, or somewhat unfinished, because if not, it just makes me not want to be one.
Who wants their badass technological hero/villian that demolishes all in his path, and saves the innocent... not start out...
as a little baby chicken?
(Don't get me wrong, it was pretty funny, and the Avians are super cool, but I'm not sure I like them starting out as a baby chicken. Maybe if they find a way to fit it in , but currently, that just feels... wrong?)
