Floran respawn animation

As per personal preference I'd rather have the human respawn being done in somewhat semi-translucent tank, with things moving there but without any obvious show of what's happening - that way there would be space for several theories and, well, for me - it will be more aesthetic than bald, reconstructed guys with teleporting hair.

What would happen to the pod and the plant thing after they respawned?

I suspect the respawning mechanism is a permanent part of the ship somehow.

...So, there you have it, folks. Floran self-reproduction: asexual and similiar to creating a young clone of a dead individual. Well, we now know every way in wich a floran can be created.

At least in the human respawn you get your underwear for free. Avian and Floran dont have underwear after there respawn, when i see that right! xD

I wonder if the floran can seed a planet the same way they respawn...shooting there spores down to the surface, would be a cool way of colonisation tbh.

Because it's not in their nature to wear underwear. For them, it's just silly. I mean, Florans got nothing to hide down there, and avians are already covered in feathers.

So then they can only spawn in the ship?

Would a floran's space ship be made of plants/ something that looks like plants?

Yup. Didn't you see the news? Sheesh, you are lacking information, man.

Not sure. It would make sense to respawn in the nearest respawn chamber/point. The one in the ship would still have to be permanent though.

This. Exactly this. That's what I thought when I first saw it. Even the way it peels back is similar.

Now I'd really like to see the Glitch one. What could it consist of? An assembly line brings parts together on robot arms and assembling a new body, kinda like a car in a factory? I'd like that.

Kinda disappointed if the concept was cloning for humans :(. I would rather think of it as, rebuilding lost cells.
I, others and NPCs want to be unique individuals, cause if we can be cloned, it feels so... expendable.

Avian animation is definitely lackluster, I see them changing it soon.

  17. That is awesome. But it isn't in-game, at least yet. No way to know if that will be in the final game as a spawning machine in our ships, I hope it does. <3

Fun fact: In about a year every atom in your body would have been replaced. Not a single atom in your body resides there forever and there is a 100% chance that 1000s of other humans through history held some of the same atoms that you currently hold in your body.

    Blows my mind... :x

Probably more of an encapsulation of gas, either way, I know it'll have something to do with brand, seeing as that's the only really static thing about them. :)

I want to see the Glitch respwan, I expect them to re-assemble à la The Iron Giant, for those what ain't be knowin' :DD

I actually think the storyline for Humans in Starbound has something to do with the destruction of Earth, and looking for a new homeworld to Terraform, Cloning might actually be the only way they can keep the species alive until they can settle permanently and really begin to propagate.
Kind of like the plot from Destroy All Humans, Ironically. :DD
