Floran Invitation mission - Difficulty jump?

    Hello everyone,

I noticed something weird today, while I was playing with a new Char and redoing some of the missions. While Dreadwing and the usual monsters seem to have been nerfed (as in easier to slay) the floran warriors in the invitation mission seem almost invincible.

My novakid char has his Sheriff's outfit and decent tiered weapons for this challenge and in earlier playthroughs I never had big trouble defeating them. Now, no matter if I attack with ranged or melee, they just soak up the damage like it's nothing, I can deal between 4-8 damage while I get 45 damage with one hit from my opponent. Only thing I could assume is I might need some specific type of damage for them but ... why? Other florans aren't a problem either and die just fine when I hit them.

Is this a bug in one of the latest stable updates? Did some of you encounter somethin alike?

NPC enemies have armour values. Until the combat rework, you ought to use high damage per shot weapons against armoured targets.

Are you playing on unstable, nightly, or stable?
Do you have any mods installed?
Are you trying to use high dps but low damage per attack weapons (bad idea vs non-monsters)?

Hi, thank you for your reply!

It is the current stable updated to its most recent build.

I have mods installed but none that should alter weapons or enemies in any way (Perennial Crops, Shining Star, BigChest, BetterFoodDescriptions, LosslessPixelCompression).

While I was trying to figure out what I could've done wrong I've tested a few weapons with different special damage attributes, without success yet. I'll try again right now and see if anything has changed.

Ah I see, thank you. My new alien blaster does the trick.

Edit: Thread can be closed, issue resolved :p
